Hahaha, naku, I totally understand the feeling! I was also expecting an invite from VIC with the ROI process, but surprisingly, I received an invite from NSW instead. Based on the SkillSelect data from December 2023, there were Software Engineers invited with 65 points for both 189 and 190 visas, while for the 491 visa it was at least 75 points. This shows it's always beneficial to aim for higher points for better chances. I've attached a screenshot of the December 2023 data for Software Engineers from the SkillSelect website for your reference. Increasing your points can definitely help in such a competitive field. NSW had clarified they indicated the experience years in the Pre invite email and not the total points score,they sent out an explanation email ,thats why the confusion about it with @eacdelacruz screenshot this morning . It was 6 years of skill select declared experience hehe
