Hi! my son got his Permanent Residency (PR) approved just last week, March 2018. But he and his partner have been living and working lawfully in Tasmania for more than 2 years already. My friend in Melbourne said he has to be a PR for more than 2 years before he could sponsor me as a parent. Is this correct? should we wait for 2 more years before my son could sponsor me. please help. I plan to apoly for an aged parent visa. each day month and year is precious to me.
