Hey Everyone! Admin here, It's a bit overdue but I will be migrating our forum site to a new platform for better security. I will take out all the ads as well as these pesky spammers. Please expect a bit of issues here and there, and will slowly move the features to the new one. Don't worry we are very much alive and will be alive as long as I'm here :)

@Manu22 hmm, ACS doesn’t award points, they just assess your skills if they are relevant. Also, lowest points one can ever claim on qualification is 10 points so not quite sure how you got 5 points?
@WAHM you don’t need to have your degree assessed. No skills assessment authority are able to do this. They only refer to the CEP document of the Department of Education and Training when checking the equivalence of your qualification. Hence, they w…
@czianczia28 no point creating you profile on skilkselrct if your docs are not complete yet. Concentrate on your skills assessment first. That’s the make or break and also most tedious part.
@reginalove work experience isn’t necessary to get positive assessment. As long as you meet the minimum points required then you will be eligible to apply for a skilled visa. An alternative is apply a 485 visa after you graduate and get work experie…
Most likely the points will apply to those still wai to be invited so if you’ve got invited prior 16 November, it won’t the new points won’t apply yet. At this point - when you are invited, doesn’t really matter how much points you have anyway since…
@joy.0491 you need to look at beyond the slots. Immigration is not focused on the slots but rather on what migrants can bring in to Australia’s economy. It make sense to award points on applicants with partners who have skills or even those who coul…
@mister.hyde they can’t notify it but surely they could certify the copies as true copies of the original document. There must be a lost in translation between both of you. I myself can certify documents but I gave to see the originals so for sure t…
@mister.hyde hmm that’s odd. We never had issues from our clients in Philippines. Maybe she meant notarise? Notarise and certify are 2 different ways to make documents legal.
@mister.hyde there must be a reason why. Did you provide both the original and the photocopied documents? I’m a migration. Agent based in the UK and not Phillippines. Can’t recom anyone from there.
@anotherhopeful you just need to notify your case officer re your trip. With regards to work sponsorship, realistically it would be unlikely to get sponsored at this stage especially when employers know you’ve got an application lodged already. I su…
@shanerivera_bluice the coe is of no use of it doesn’t have the tasks listed. Technically, you should submit reference letters and not COE. If the tasks have been covered on the letter, no need to provide any other letters. All the best.
@arkitekmai have you tried asking VETASSESS regarding your query? I would suggest to do so as they will be the best ones to guide you with this. No harm trying
@jaworksirobert in what sense? Each assessing authority has its own process. Not entirely sure about your background. You might need an RPL. I don’t think it’s an advantage neither a disadvantage. You just need to comply. Good luck.
All registered migration agents are registered under MARA so you need to always ask for the MARN # and do a search on www.mara.gov.au so you can check the agent’s history, Kung May sanctions, suspensions, etc

@EricZ unfortunately I don’t. I’m based in London. Brits are my main clientele. Australia is number one destination for Brits here. Anyway, we’ve serviced clients from various countries with no issues at all. In any case, feel free to complete our f…
@Me_shellnMac28 no experience needed. As long as positive skills assessment outcome, occupation must be from the same list as the main applicant’s, under 45 years of age and competent English
@marchbaby it has nothing to do with EA, whether expired or not. It’s the Department of education and training that determines this. All assessing bodies refer to the CEP document from the dept of education. If the instruction is under section 2 but…
