  • @TasBurrfoot Agree! You just need to compare initially so you'll have a better analysis of the cost of living.
  • @MikeYanbu Walang anuman, Mike! If one of you got a job, madali na yan. God Bless!
  • Guys, try Adecco recruitment agency. That's where I got my job. I'm based in Melbourne pala. Meron akong kilala ng forklift driver muna, kumuha ng certification then nakpagdrive kagad as casual til nakahanap ng work sa linya nya. All the best.

  • @Winnie2016 Sorry, super late reply. I'm glad to hear that you're also moving to Oz. Good luck and God Bless!
  • Hi Guys, I was the one who started this discussion and I'm so happy to see that a lot of you have been participating in this thread. There were a lot of questions answered.
  • How true is this? How did you ship your personal effects to Australia from Manila?
  • When we had our initial entry, I ate the spiciest food at Spice Temple. I live in Dubai and never had experienced that kind of spice. It caters Chinese cuisine. Really enjoyed it. It's a must try! Nasa Southbank yun. Of all the restos we've tried, t…
Yung sa medicare, confusing lang kasi meron akong nakitang post na even less than a year of residency, ma…
  • @peach17: Hi Peach, thanks for the response. So you mean, based on your experience, di pa naman natatax yung mga assets and investments mo abroad kahit declared sya sa ITR mo? Thanks. @envy: very informative, thank you. hindi ba exempted ang Pinas…
  • @yosh10 Hi! I have the same question! 1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting a TFN? 2. If we applied for TFN, hihingi na rin ba sila ng tax sa mga assets mo and investments mo abroad?
  • @filipinacpa, san ka based? I think it depends from one company to another. Try your luck first.
  • Hi @majkensd, I also had the same question before. I suggest that if your situation is a complicated one and you don't have time to do your own research, better get a licensed migration agent. My husband and I started to process our visa application…
Dito kasi sa Dubai, their fee is equal to the first month's salary of the recruited applicant tpos walang deduction yun sa applicant.
  • Hi to All! Based on your application experiences, what are the recruitment agencies that at least called you for a job interview? I can see that there a lot of recruitment agencies in Oz but would like to focus our time on agencies that really resp…
  • Hi @cvetu2004, thanks for the tip! Will probably do the same.
  • Hi @piglet24, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts again. I agree when you said that after the savings, what now? and for sure when we have our babies, expenses will get bigger. I also did some research on the monthly expense and as shared by…
  • hi @retake, thank you for your insights. Though you resided in SG, we had the same situation. My husband is also an IT Professional so when you said that the mid-level IT Professional's salary range from 90k-130k before tax, it inspired me to come t…
Thanks.
  • hi, @goreo, yung 900 AUD was cited by an agency in their website, approximately yan daw and weekly expense.
Here is the correction: If my husband will still earn the same salary that he is getting here in Dubai and with a weekly cost of living amounting to 900 AUD (as one website cited), it seems that we will …
  • Hi Guys, Thank you so much for all the details. It really inspires me to pursue what we have started. Just a few questions: 1. Between Dubai and Australia, where can you save more money? Since Dubai is tax-free, we are able to save a big chunk o…
  • Hi Guys, Been out of this forum for a while. My husband and I decided to avail the service of a migration agent. It is much cheaper compared to the agent in Pinas. It is a total difference of Php 200k. Since we have a complicated case, the agent h…
