@Nat separate ang payment fee ng learner permit license (after you pass the sit in test which is may feed din around 18 AUD, buti sa 'kin isang take lang) then nasa 79 AUD naman ang practical driving test booking. Medyo magastos din kaya yung iba na…
@Nat yea pero I'm keeping both ends meet para makapagpa book ulit on my next practical driving test. Medyo mahal din, nasa 80 AUD. Paghandaan ko muna ulit. All the best. Safe drive lang sis. Ingat
@engineer20 this is true. My PR visa was released August 2016 (I arrived in WA October 2016). I was advised by DOT during my application of photo card that I can still use my Philippine driving license until November 2016. Now, after I passed my sit…
@Cassey 1st assessor American guy - 1st take then 2nd assessor Aussie guy. One assessor per take ako and to sum up nakaka dalawa take na ko. I shall make my revenge on my 3rd haha!
Explained naman pero better yun American mag explain plus much cle…
@SAP_Melaka visa grant date ang reference bro valid for 3 months here in WA, other states naman like Victoria, 6 months valid ang LTO driver's license. If sa Singapore ka galing, direct convert full license na agad.
@Cassey di kasi ako convinced that I failed the test. Yun 2nd Aussie assessor ayaw nya na nag I-indicate Ka ng signal left or right when you reverse. Then one thing that pissed me off was the handing of the score sheet after the test kasi the 3rd se…
@Cassey @Abby_ hello. Got a disappointing experience on my actual practical driving test. To cut the story briefly, advantage pag meron ka dito driving lesson as yun mismo driving instructor and mag e-endorse sa 'yo sa Dept of Transport on your book…
@Cassey you can check with the school if you can avail concession cards thru centrelink. Magagamit mo ito sa school fees around 200+ deducted from school to cover expenses sa uniform plus discount if riding a bus or train. Also, Meron sila extension…
@Cassey hello. My daughter is in year 8 term 1 here in WA. When she came, they asked her to take the entrance exam. It was a 2 hour laptop test which covers math, science and English subjects. Prior that, meron muna eligibility docs like visa grant,…
@MrBean bro in my experience here at Perth, you could use your LTO license valid for 3 months. Some naman of colleagues were valid for 6 months in the state of Victoria. But recommended to take a learner's driver permit license if you came from Phil…
@chehrd good move yan kasi mahal i-remit from pinas to australia ang pera. Based from experience:
- Pinas money to Australia = ok to spend kasi malaki; pero sending money malaki charge
- AU money to Pinas = better ipadala in peso converted
@Cassey I totally agree at even may migration agent service kami then, we all appreciate the people here who made us where we are now. Hope meron tayong pinoyau meet up someday! Looking forward to this para pay it forward @Admin :x
@rami first ideally, it is not practical to move here altogether as a family if wala Ka pang job (either PR or Visa 457) or sponsored employer. Unless u got lots of money for several months, u can survive here as Permenent residents which in most ca…
@Captain_A agree to bring more funds. Dumating centrelink claim Ko within 6 weeks kaya dapat may buffer budget Ka especially when renting a house. While it is true na ok mag move sa kamag anak, better pa rin live independently so you could optimize …
@Captain_A musta? Yea Ellenbrook is a green and peaceful suburb. What I love are the people which were nice and generous. Plus strategically located near airport, nearby lakes, city and school for my 4 children.
@manolo1978 brod saan ka dito sa Perth, same here mechanical engineer. PM me so we can share and who knows we then bumped with each other na. I am from Ellenbrook. Ikaw?
@kholoudmanlucu kindy school starts at 4 years old minimum age. Then school starts every February for the beginning of school year. Then comes every term (3 months), thus 4 school terms in a year.
To all our readers in this thread, we shall answer your queries as best we could. Always remember, carry a helping hand as you come here at Australia. We are one regardless of our roots. Cheers to all mates
@elleb1 we tried the plato wraps (wheat) sandwich with ham, lettuce, tomato and cheese. They shall get used to it once they see it on their classmates too
@elleb1 expect to bring lots of cash haha..you never know when either of you shall get a job. Hirap din to find one especially if you don't have an established professional network and local community support. Also, expect delays in Centrelink claim…
