God Bless!

Hi, pasensiya na wala akong copy ng GTE kasi it’s been years ago. Just state there that you want to further your career and how education in Au will be advantageous to you. Never state there your intention of staying here in Au for good baka sabihin na hindi na babalik or something.

Thank you po mam cassey.

    Hi Ms. Cassey!

Mag ask lng po sana ako. I received an offer from ACN in line with their bridging program. In relation to this, which type of visa would you suggest for me to apply. Some people say to apply for busines stream. But Im thinking if that visa will be enough since its max stay will be only upto 3months. So parang naiisip ko na saktuhan lng yung stay mo sa australia, and theres a tendency that you will go back to the Philippines just to exit and you will return back again to finish your program and do the registration for anmac. While if student visa, they said you will be granted with one year visa olus with working rights.

      Cassey
There are conditions for Student Visa like the study should be 6mos. Since BP is only for 3mos, you are not eligible to apply for a SV.

hello po Ms. cassey:) Anong universities po sa melb nag ooffer ng conversion program po? 1 year po ba talaga yun kasi po may nagsasabi ng 2 years. And mas mahal po ba sya kesa Iron Program ? thank you po ms. cassey :)
    May 15
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Yung duration depends on your qualifications and work experience. Ididiscontinue na nila ang BP, papalitan na ng exams i think this second half of the year.
    • yam16
      yam16
Thank you po.
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Do you mean for the exams? I think it’ll be the same requirements.

      Cassey
You can do a conversion course which is for 1yr or otherwise you can wait for the upcoming change wherein you will just have to take exams to gain registration here in Australia.

Hi Ms. Cassey, may format ka pa ba nung COE mo and CV? I asked my previous employers for another COE since may standard format si AHPRA..

Hi po Ms Cassy, ask lang po for any advice with regards to my case. PR Visa holder na po ako thru my husband and papunta na po kami AU ng June. Gusto ko po mag work as a nurse sa Au pero currently unemployed (since Nov 2017). May work experience po ako Pinas for 3 yrs and sa Singapore as a staff nurse from 2013 til 2017. Which is better pathway to take po kaya, mag NZRN application po then apply to AU under trans tasman or drecho na lang po apply sa Au and mag take ng (OBA) exam mid 2019. Thank you po.

Hi sorry I’m not very familiar with NZ registration. From what I’ve heard though, it is a direct registration if you’re a registered Sg Nurse. Are you still registered with Sg or no? If it’s a direct registration then you can possibly have this option but take note of how much time you’ll need as well from NZ registration to Au registration. If it’s going to take a while then might as well just wait for the OBA exam but of course, it’ll still depend on your circumstances and your readiness for the exams.
    • katbv
      katbv
Ahh i see, I am not currently registered with SG nursing board na po kasi. That's why im in doubt din po to pursue the NZRN pathway. If I will apply po sa ahpra to take OBA exam, do u suggest po na mag start na ako now mag pa assess? Or wait ko po muna until they release the new process po? Thank you so much po
    • Cassey
      Cassey
I’m not 100% sure but I think you must have a current registration in Sg if you’re aiming for a direct registration in NZ. With the Au OBA, it hasn’t started yet so you just have to wait until they release the specifics.

    Hi Ms Cassey,

Im currently studying conversion in WA and Im just wondering ano ung next step pag natapos ko ang conversion. To give a bit of a background po sakin, I only have 1 year and 4 months experience from Jan 2013 to Dec 2013 for the 1 year experience and Jan 2014- Apr 2014 for the 4 months experience, however ng awol po ako sa 4 months exp ko and di ko po makukuha coe for that. Also,I shifted to a travel career since July 2014 and i spent 4 years and 6 months in the travel industry. Tanong ko po: What are the best steps for me after I graduate from my conversion course? Thank you po and looking forward na malinawagan po regarding dito.
    April 4
    • Cassey
      Cassey
After your conversion, you can already register as an Au Nurse through AHPRA. Once you are registered, you can then apply for ANMAC for a Skills Assessment. If you don’t have a recent experience, you might need to do a statutory declaration stating your reasons for not practicing for a while. Once you’ve got a positive skills assessment from ANMAC, you can apply for an Expression of Interest as long as of course, you meet the needed points for migration. There might some be upcoming changes with PR Visa though.

    Hi Ms. Cassey.

Gusto ko lang po sana i ask kung may idea kayo kung panu maiinclude sa points mo upon applying for PR yung sa partner skill qualifications?. Need po ba na dapat tapos na din siya mag bridging program and registered n siya as a nurse sa sutralia?.

    Thank you po
    March 14
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Yes, dapat RN siya rito sa Au so dapat nagaral rito, nakaregister sa AHPRA and may positive ANMAC Skills Assessment.
    • tympanic123
      tympanic123
Ah okie po mam. Iniisip ko po na ayos lng na basta may ielts siya then included yung work nmin parehas sa anmac skills. So dapat po pla nakapag bp na din siya sa australia and registered as rn
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Ang condition is dapat parehong nasa MLTSSL list yung work ninyo or nasa STSOL pareho. Another condition is dapat may positive skills assessment siya from ANMAC. Hindi siya makakakuha ng positive skills Assessment from ANMAC without becoming a nurse here in Au na mangyayari lang kapag nagaral siya rito at naregister sa AHPRA.

Thank you po ms. cassey. Mam ask ko lng din po. May idea po ba kayo for example na denied yung application nio for a business stream visa, kung puede po ba n mag apply ulit ng panibagong application or may prcess po ba sa pag rereaappeal?. thank you po
  • hanuer
    Hi Ms. Cassey,

May na-receive po aq na offer to take Masters in Nursing, will this lead to registration or kailangan k pa din magtake ng conversion course?

    Thank you
    March 20
    • Cassey
      Cassey
For Masters, ang alam ko it will lead to registration so hindi mo na need pang magconversion course. Check the course sa website, usually nakalagay naman run if it will lead to registration or not. Unfortunately, if you’re not RN in Au, there’s no way that you can apply for PR. That is the pathway to becoming PR.
    • hanuer
      hanuer
Pa-advise nman po sa conversion course kung same po ba lahat ng duration na ino-offer (3 years ung nabasa ko), or may mas short term pa ba? Salamat..
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Conversion is usually 1 or 2 yrs in duration depending on your work experience. Kung gusto mo ng sure pathway just take up conversion. Mind you though, you have to be careful in choosing school because there are some conversion Courses that doesn’t lead to registration.
  • tympanic123
    Hi mam cassey

    Good day!

Sabi kasi nung iba tourist gisa on a business stream daw yung iapply ko. Tama po ba yun?

Maraming salamt po sa response in advance
    February 27
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Hi, yes it’s a tourist visa on a business stream. Okay lang ang ACN, at this point wala ng nagbubukas ng BP because of the changes by Mid year so there’s not much of a choice.
    • Cassey
      Cassey
You can always email them to clarify and best to confirm from them as well if they will still have intakes and slots otherwise you might be wasting your money.

Thank you ms. Cassey. When it comes nmn po sa individual status. Salamatpo
    • Cassey
      Cassey
You should always be consistent with your application. If you are married, you should declare it as such. Otherwise, you might encounter problems when applying later for PR because of the inconsistencies.

kasi po my partner and I are planning to apply for visa 189 or 190 independently (both qualified). we're not married po but been together na for 10 years.. pwede po ba namen iassume yung +5 points for partner skill qualification? or not? Gusto po kc sna namen makapunta ng Au ng sabay and this 5 points will help increase our points... Thank You
    February 1
    • Cassey
      Cassey
To get that dapat both ng occupation niyo nasa skilled list. Kung nasa MLTSSL list yung occupation mo, dapat ganun din yung kanya at kailangan rin niyang magundergo ng skills assessment and get a positive result for his occupation.
    • n3n_3pqln
      n3n_3pqln
Thank you po for replying ms cassey... another thing po... In which step po namen need iprove yung relationship namen? During EOI po b or DIBP visa application?
And how comprehensive po yung details na need namen ipresent? Need po ba iattach yung mga proof like bills, photos etc...? Do we still need to make a “relationship statement”? medyo lost n po ako sa part na to...
Again, thank you po for your insight...
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Yung mga proofs, you will have to upload them once you get your (ITA) invitation to apply. Yes, you have to upload as many proofs as you can because even sa mga married couples, they ask for other proofs aside from the married cert. I suggest that you give proofs from year 1 to year 10 of your relationship.

Hi po Ms Cassey, ask ko lang po, dahil more than 1 year na po ako walang work as a nurse, wala rin po akong seminars and trainings for the past year.
    January 31
    • Cassey
      Cassey
There’s no need, walang weight ang trainings or seminars abroad dito sa Au. You will only need CPD points kapag Au RN ka na. Okay lang yung gap mo, my hubby has a 2/3yrs gap and it was all good. No problems encountered so don’t worry too much.

Hi Ms. Cassey. May question lang po sana ako. I received a message from my RO regarding further needed documents. They need po my resume to be revised due to typo error.

"In order for your application to be assessed further, this written notice issued under section 80(1)(b) of the National Law, requires you to provide the following:

    A signed Curriculum Vitae (CV)

The previously sent curriculum vitae did not detail the gaps in your practice history, namely there was a typo in your Gaps in Professional Practice (September 2010 to January 2010). Would you please correct the typo via return email.

Under section 80 of the National Law the National Board may require an applicant to provide documentation or information it reasonably requires to decide"

Hi, nakalay is via return Email. You can make another 1 and attach to email. Don’t forget to address the issues - gaps in your practice history and make sure you make a declaration on your CV that the ‘The Curriculum Vitae is true and correct as at (insert date)’.
Declaration must be signed by you and dated as well.

Hello! Good day Ms. Cassey! I just want to know if okay ba education linkages. And now I’m in search for a school.

Hi, Are you planning to apply here as a Nurse? You can do a BP Course which takes around 3mos at the moment. You just have to have an assessment with AHPRA. You need to at least have a 3mos fulltime experience as a Nurse within the last 5yrs to be eligible.

Hello Ms Cassey! Same with Ms Shyr, I’m a RN in PH and with 4 years of hospital experience and currently working in a hospital here in QC, Philippines. I have booked to take my OET this June 2018.

I wanted to ask po sana what is the first step po to apply in AHPRA? Do I have to contact them first or shall I just send the necessary requirements?

Thank you so much! Hoping to hear from you po!
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Hi, there is no need to contact AHPRA. You just basically need to send your documents to them and wait for the Eligibility Letter that they’ll send you para makapagenrol ka to a Bridging Program. Goodluck on your English test.

Thank you so much, Ms Cassey! You are a blessing to us all who have the Oz dream. I still have follow up questions though if it’s okay with you, Ma’am.

      1. Which of the documents should be notarized and which of them should be original?

      2. About the Board Certificate, should it be sent by PRC together with the COGS?

      Thank you po. ☺️
    • ashthrood
      ashthrood
      3. How long does it take to wait for a response from AHPRA and get an Elibility Letter?

      4. How many months na po ang Bridging Program?
    • Cassey
      Cassey
      1. CV should be original. All photocopied documents need to be notarized as well as the CTC’d copy.
      2. Only COGS needs to be sent directly from PRC.
      3. Around 1-2 mos
      4. At the moment, it’s still 3mos.

Hello Ms. @cassey, if you were to decide, which way do you prefer? Bridging Program or the 1year work/study program? I’m torn between the two. Please shed some light. Thank you so much!
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Hi, Personally, i would go for the BP kasi wala namang bearing sa paghahanap ng work yung tinapos mo rito sa Au. Isa pang reason is, laging nagchchange yung rules dito sa Au which I’ve witnessed myself. Dati mas marami silang iniinvite, ngayon it was cut down..tapos patagal ng patagal ang processing time sa mga visa. The longer the course, the riskier. Ask yourself kung kakailanganin mo ba ng longer course and what you’ll get from it.. After all, depende pa rin naman sa circumstances mo yan like your would be points, finances, etc.
    • ashthrood
      ashthrood
Thank Ms Cassey. Original plan is the BP, medj nalito lang po ako kasi sabi nila mas matagal ka mag stay sa Au, mas madali raw po ma-PR. Kaya napaisip ako between the two! Thank you so much for answering so quickly.
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Oo mas matagal ka makakapagstay like for a year pero in that span of time, maraming pwedeng mangyari or changes. If you choose to do 1yr conversion, makakapagwork ka ng 20hrs a week. Pero it doesn’t mean na mas madali kang makapagPR. Ang PR is based on your points o kaya sa state nomination.

      Hi Ms @cassey

My OET results came in and I got B in all the subtest except for speaking which is C+. Do you know if there’s a school in Aus who will accept that kind of marking?

By the way, my aunt recently told me that they could help me petition my papers to get in Aus. They are already Aus Citizens. I told them that I wanted to go to Australia even if I don’t work as a nurse first. I just want to find a job first then save money for the BP. Is it possible to apply for an immigrant first? If possible, do you know the process?

      Thank you, Ms Cassey
    • Cassey
      Cassey
There is no direct pathway even if you have relatives here in Au. You will still have to be invited before you can lodge for a PR Visa. There’s a 489 visa if you want to be sponsored by your relatives but you will still have to study and be a nurse here because a skill assessment is needed. Without a positive skills assessment, you can’t apply.

But I don’t know which would be the mailing address I will use since they have a lot of offices. May I ask if you know where will I send them? Or do you know their mailing address? Thank you!

Also, kailangan po ba separate yung pagpapadala ng from PRC, and yung ibang documents ko? Parang in 1 big mailing plastic, there are 2 mailing plastic inside. Yung isa yung cogs (naka address from PRC), at yung isa laman yung mga docs ko.

Or Di po yun pwede??? Para sana tipid Po sa shipping fee

      Hi, here’s AHPRA’s mailing address
      https://www.ahpra.gov.au/about-ahpra/contact-us.aspx

Just choose the address of the State where you’re planning to study.
COGS should be mailed separately as it’s meant to be sent directly to AHPRA coming from PRC and not from you.

Can you help me in answering my AGOS-40 form. I’m quite confuse on question number 5. All the items to be cross-marked have “Australian”. How do I answer this one?

Also, what are the best attachment I can provide on each category? Thank you!

Hi, it’s best to contact AHPRA. Very prompt naman silang sumagot para hindi na madouble up pa yung fees.

    EOI Wrong Inputs

While browsing back to her EOI, nakita nyang may mga mali po dun sa EOI.

    2. Work Experience dates - nuong inassess ng ACS ung skills nya, diba po kalimitan minus 2 years on the skill you are applying. Instead of June 2010, nailagay nya e ung 2008 pa din ung actual start year nya sa 1st work nya.

Hi, medyo complicated at risky yung situation niyo.

With regards to your experience dates, I can’t really comment on that since it’s all dependent on the CO. Some CO are by the book, some are lax. If you can probably provide all the necessary documents for that experience, pwedeng makalusot. It’s up to you to decide since you both are on the line.

Since last 11th lang kame nainvite, do we expect them to call us this week?

Another thing pa po, since ako yung secondary applicant, ang pinassess ko lang po sa ACS e ung relevant experience ko for the past 10 years. Naggraduate po ako ng 2004, tapos nagwork ako sa call center as TSR from 2004 to 2008. Then nagshift career po ako ng developer programmer from 2008 to present. So ito lang ung pinassess ko sa ACS and napprove po ako sa Developer Programmer - 261312.

Need ko pa po ba ipassess ulet sa ACS ung nauna kong work experience 04-08 as TSR? Isasama ko din po ba ung sa visa lodging in Form 80 as secondary applicant?
    • Cassey
      Cassey

I’m not too sure with the trend now. Yung kakilala naming nagapply, i think 2 mos na sila pero wala pang CO contact. I suggest that you check the monthly threads here in the forum.

There’s no need to have the call center experience assessed if it’s not relevant to the occupation.

You can however put it in Form 80 and just put a remark there that it’s not relevant to the occupation being assessed.

Yung work experience niya ba na nailagay, did she overclaim points or pareho lang yung points? Sa date lang namali?
    • jspaz0313@gmail.com
      [email protected]
So bale po si misis nagwork po talaga sa pinas from 2008 to 2015. Then sa malaysia from 2015 to present. then pinassess nmin sa ACS at nakareceive kame ng approval. Tapos may note dun na:

The following employment after Jun 2010 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately skilled level relevant to 2361111..."

      Dates: 06/08 -4/15 -- 6 years 10 months
      Position: XXXX
      Employer: XXXX
      Country: Philippines

      Dates: 04/15 -3/18 -- 2 years 11 months
      Position: XXXX
      Employer: XXXX
      Country: Malaysia

So bale po ang nailagay nya pa din ung 2008 sa EOI, mukang naoverlook nya ung note ng ACS na nagminus 2 year sila. 2010 dapat po ata ang nailagay sa EOI. Right now po mag 10 years na work experience nya. At since 2008 ang nailgay nya 15 points po yun. Pero kung 2010, 15pts pa rin naman po yun diba? So hnde po sya nagoverclaim. Tama po ba?
    • Cassey
      Cassey
If the CO will consider her experience up to now then it’s 15 points. Did she change job roles or position? If not, I guess it’s okay. BUT, just like what I’ve said, it will all be dependent on your CO. Maybe, attach a newer COE so that the CO will see that nothing changed.
You have to be very careful with your answers because they’re checking consistency in the application.

    Ms Casey

I graduated Mar 2003 and only included Feb 2004 - onwards on my ACS assessment as I am not planning to claim any pts bet Mar2003 to Jan2004 and just declare it as unemployed. Will this have an effect on my visa application?

I worked between Sept 2003 to Jan 2004 - but the company already closed and I have no reference for this previous company and can't remember if I was already on probationary period.

    Please advise.

It doesn’t have any bearing with the visa application. You’ll just have to explain on your Form 80 why you wrote unemployed at that time.

Hi Ms. Cassey! I'm planning to apply for student visa and the agency suggested to take Masters of public health. Naghehesitate lang ako kasi malaki ang gastos. Yun lang po kasi pathway ko to work in Aus since i dont have any experience in community and hospital.
    Thank you in advance Ma'am.

Pharmacist po. Sorry po i forgot to mention
    • Cassey
      Cassey
Have you checked kung pwede kang magtake ng exam instead for Pharmacists? The only thing though with this is you don’t have an experience which is needed if you want to migrate.

I think Masters was suggested so that you can apply for the 485 visa once you finished your course which will buy you out 2 yrs. But does that course have a PR Pathway? Even if you finished your studies here kung wala sa list yung occupation mo at wala kang experience, you can’t migrate here.

So since wala po akong experience in community & hosp, does it mean manenegative assessment po ako for eligibility if ever mag exam ako ng KAPS?

Acdng to the agency may pathway for PR naman daw po if id take masters

Hi Cassey, maybe you could help me on this one.
I am pharmacist and applied for pharm tech. Vetassess gave me negative result because of not highly related work description, more on phramacist daw. Naghanap ako ng ibang forum about negative assessmemt, and sabi ng iba, they resubmit cv and ss with new jd that is highly relevant sa anzco and got positive. Im planning to do this step but lookibh for some thoughts ng iba png may experience.Do you have any idea on wht is next best thing to do about my situation. Hay! Very unfortunate mistake. Thanks in advance.

Hi, you can have your documents reassessed. But this time, you have to pattern your JD and CV to that of a Pharmacy Technician role. Google JD of PharTech here in Australia and choose which applies to you.

hi ms. cassey. i will be taking 1 year nursing conversion in ECu since wala na ang BP. All of your professional references MUST meet the following criteria:include this contact information for each referee:
official hospital email address (ANMAC will not accept emails that are sent from free web-based email accounts). Useless po ba if i will push thru with australia? kasi 1Million tuition sa ECU tapos di ako ma aassess. Hope you can reply.

Hi, just provide whatever it is. You can have a Statutory Declaration stating that your hospital’s only email address is @yahoo. Hindi useless. That is just a part of the assessment.

    Hello, Cassey!

I've been following a thread and you were very responsive and helpful sa mga nagtatanong. I am currently sending out applications to schools for my BP, I am hoping that I can still make it to their first terms (January to April intake). I applied in Monash, Deakin, SCU and UniSA. Are these good schools for BP? And how long would it usually take for them to respond sa applications? I am getting a feeling kasi that with the year ending soon, baka full na most of the slots. Any insights? And additional question, can you provide po a timeline from the receipt of LOE to flying to AU for BP? Many Thanks!

      Cassey
Hi, Those schools are top notch and in here it doesn’t really matter where you graduated. As an overseas nurse, employers are more likely to look at your experience. With the incoming changes with the assessment next year, mukha ngang punuan na yung slots... As far as I know, Deakin is already closed for their Jan and June intakes.Usually, they reply within 2-3weeks, depends on the Uni though. Timeline is dependent on the date of intake.
