    Good day po mga Sirs at Mam, bago lang ako dito sa forum na ito... My wife just came acroSS this forum while browsing the internet.... I just want to ask kung sino po naka experience ng Vetasses assessment regarding Fitter (General) ANZSCO: 323211. At makahingi po sana ng konting pointers tungkol dito. I am applying for a steam plant related job sa oz and luckily na-select ako nung employer, and then they asked me to undergo skills asessment sa vetasses. But they said yung job category ko ay related don sa Fitter General kasi wala daw specific. I lodged my vetasses application and supporting docs (training and employment check) last Dec 20, 2012. Then, last Jan 15 lumabas yung result...Documentary evidence partially meets the trade requirements at invited ako for stage 2 skills assessment. Then, next stage is Practical assessment...

    Sino po kaya ang naka experience na ng Practical assessment ng Fitter General?

    yes sir, nadownload ko na yung binigay nyong link sometime ago.... at hindi na ako nirequire ng written test. tapos na ako sa stage 1 which is documents and training/employment check. now i am waiting for stage 2 schedule which is practical assesment sa meralco foundation institute. ask ko lang po kung sino naka experience ng practical kasi yung mga kakilala kong nasa oz na ngayon eh hindi naman nag vetassess. actually tatlo yung binigay na options for stage 2, 1st is face to face interview; 2nd is interview via webcam; and 3rd is practical asessment. but my agency advised me to choosse practical kasi ang bottomline pag hindi nagkaintindihan sa interview lalo na yung via web, they would require practical asessment and of course another bayad na naman.

    Bago din po ako dito sa forum..ask ko lang po kung sa'n mas maganda mag undergo ng skills assessment para sa Electrician (General) ANZSCO: 341111? coz only two RTO's can assess this occupation, VETASSESS & VICTORIA UNIVERSITY..we're currently living in UAE..i'll appreciate ur help/advices..thanks.. :-)

    wala pa dito sa forum... or anyone i know, na nagpa assess sa VU..

    getting your skills assessed by vetassess should mean a lot kasi tanggap siya sa kahit saang state sa Australia...can't be too sure about your other alternative

    are you concern about the practical test part of the skills assessment?
    i think you should better ask them, ang pagka-intindi ko you will submit your application online, and based on that, if they will require you to take the practical test, you will need to find a schedule kung saan meron, alam ko nag-schedule sila sa pinas either sa Meralco Foundation or sa Tesda...

    @lock_code2004 thanks sa reply.. i mean part pa lang ng application ko online dun sa pag fill-up ng Personal details, may required field na "Country of Skills Assessment" may dropdown list of countries. Kaso walang UAE, required field pa naman kaya hindi ako makapag proceed.. :-( I already sent an email to VETASSESS kaso wala pang reply..

    @breil - mukhang "philippines" ang kailangan isagot nyo dyan.. kasi may mga certain countries lang po sila na tinatanggap.. if you have read the guidelines, example for Electrician (kasali nga po ang Philippines)...

    ibang field po ang country of residence/address (dito nyo ilalagay ang UAE)..

    @breil - also take note na may iba't-ibang process/pathway, depende kung anung visa ang aaplyan mo, kung 457 (temporary visa) or kung pang permanent migration...

    @lock_code2004 thanks for the reply..i've read the guidelines already..and VETASSESS replied my email they said for me to take part the practical exam I need to go to the countries where they could only conduct examinations..kasali na yung pinas..457 visa ang inaaplayan ko..

    Hi @dondon, Ask ko lang po sir, VETASSESS ba nagrefer sa inyo sa MFI? graduate kasi ako ng MFI I.T and papapoints advice sana ko sa VETASSESS for my education, this is good news for me if ever vetassess recognizes mfi. Thanks!

    @lock_code2004 need to ask more advices from u..sa case ko po it took a while for me to continue my application online in vetassess coz as i've mentioned nalilito ako kung saan kukuha nang skills assessment kasi nga nandito ako sa UAE..medyo na delay din ng reply yung employer ko kasi parang hindi pa nila alam ang processes. Just yesterday i completed the application online sa vetassess. Tama po ba na ipa notarize ko dito all the docs to be forwarded sa vetassess? importante po ba na isama ko rin yung payslip/s ko?

    This coming August po yung vacation ko to Pinas..sana ma kumpleto ko lahat ng docs at maipadala na sa vetassess.

    @breil - eto ang pagkaka-alam ko based sa ginawa namin:

    1. fill-up the online application form and pay
    2. Print the confirmation page, kasama na ang filled-up application form, tapos may pipirmahan ka..
    3. Mail mo yan kasama ng mga Certified True Copy (NOT the Original) ng mga documents mo..

    Basic documents required by Vetassess:
    - passport
    - picture na notarized.. ipaste mo yung picture mo sa blank bond paper.. then patatakan mo ung gilid ng picture ng stamp ng notary..
    - Diploma/TOR, other training certificates related to your occupation
    - Certificate of employment, job description, proof of paid employment (payslip/contract)..etc..

    based sa experience, medyo mahal ang CTC/Notary sa UAE.. 150aed per document..
    samantalang sa pinas eh 150-200 pesos per document..
    may specific requirement din ang Vetassess na dapat per page ang stamp na "Certified True Copy" signature ng nag CTC, name, address at contact number nila..

    pinadala namin sa kakilala na umuwi ng pinas para dun ipa-CTC.. para makatipid lang.. ;)

    @lock_code2004 thanks Sir for the inputs..sobrang nakakatulong talaga.. :-) I'll just send my docs in Pinas para maka mura..another question lng po, Pag may reference ako galing sa supervisor namin dito, naka letterhead, signed and stamp, kailangan pa po ba na ipa notarize? Kung sakaling in need the doc is from the company dito ba dapat sa UAE naka notarize?

    @breil - ako ay CTCed all my docs sa pinas.. kahit galing sa UAE yung iba..
    kasi sobrang mahal sa UAE phil embassy...

    CTC is just showing that you the original is matching with the copy..
    so dalhin mo ang original, ipaphotocopy mo..and then show it to the lawyer...

    @lock_code2004 Sir, bad news..the employer just emailed me and said my 457 visa application was declined.. :-( I'm done with the medical last March 7 pa yun and I am starting to process my skills assessment independently..Parang hindi pa para sa 'kin yung opportunity..Thankful though coz I haven't paid the online fees kundi sobrang malas ko talaga..
    May idea po ba kayo bakit na decline yung visa application ko? (base sa email ng employer).
    As what i've mentioned to you on my passed posts here, medyo nag mamadali yung employer kasi may project, posible hindi sila makapag hintay..August pa kasi yung bakasyon ko sa pinas at ito lang ang time ko to take the assessment..sayang.. :-(
    Pag may mag sponsor sa akin ulit na employer posible po ba na ma decline na naman kasi pagbabasihan nila yung 1st visa application ko?
    Kung meron po kayong ma e refer sa akin kung saan mag apply sa Australia i'll be happy po.. ;-)

    @breil - ouch thats a sad news...

    just to make it clear.. hindi yung "visa application" mo ang nadeny..
    they call it "Nomination".. the company has to prove na kailangan talga nila ang skill mo..
    so maybe their documents are not good enough.. maraming reason kung bakt na dedeny ang nomination..

    if you are really serious about going to AU..
    i suggest continue with your skills assessment.. approximately 3-6 months yata ang processing ng skills assessment...
    by the time na may skills assessment kana.. you have several options...

    a) look for a company that can easily sponsor you.. madali na yan kasi may skills assessment kana..
    b) or apply for Permanent Residence visa...on your own.. pag-na-approve.. pwde kang pumunta ng AU at dun na maghanap ng work...
