@brixx89 Generally restricted ang pagpasok ng food... you would have to declare it to customs... yung mga canned food like corned beef or maling will not be allowed dahil sa possible threats of mad cow and foot and mouth diseases as far as I know..
yung noodles like pancit canton, i think i-aallow naman yan, as long as artificial lahat nung seasoning (e.g. walang dried meat ingredient or chicharon kagaya nung lucky me la paz batchoy hehe)...

We shipped all our stuff to Aussie a week before our moved and told the movers that we don't have permanent address in OZ. They said that's alright because our stuff will arrive in 4 weeks after it left the port in NZ. Then they called us 1 week before our stuff arrive and asked us our delivery address that time we already moved to the rental property. Else we would have paid a hefty storage fee because they charge per day. What's good with the movers that we hired is that they packed everything for us and leave all the good and stuff we can't bring to Aussie. Also with movers they are going to ask you to insure your stuff so if you have appliances like TV you can have a insurance. Like what happened to us our dryer didn't work so we filed a complained within the week of delivery. They replaced it with new one. If you decided to ship all your personal stuff check their insurance up to when you can lodged a claim.
Advice no food on the shipment, clean all you shoes because if they see any soil on the shoes they will quarantine it and asked you to pay for that. And you should declare all your stuff in a list but if you hire a mover you should have at least know what's in your shipment para tuloy tuloy sa customs and quarantine. Oh btw, ok lang sa kanila yung wooden furniture but not the wooden carvings for decor. Anything na bawal sa customs when you arrived in the airport and bawal din sa shipment. Esp. medicines unless you can present prescription.

@pinoykiwi_inOZ btw I assume "over-the-counter" medicines/supplements are allowed to be brought to AU.... as far as I know Paracetamol, and other medicines for stomach aches like imodium or buscopan are over-the-counter lang sa pinas, even supplements like Ascorbic Acid, etc...
I know may mabibili nito sa AU, pero mas mura pa din sa Pinas especially if you're a new migrant...
Thanks!

@wizardofOz, pwede naman yung mga over the counter pero wag naman kahon kahon kasi baka marandom check. Nagdala ako ng first aid medicines e.g. paracetamol, diatabs, centrum and vit. c. at etc.

Nope. D kami nagdala para iwas hassle. When we srrived at Perth since may babies, d nmn chineck luggages namjn, we brought like a total of 160kg checkd in luggage.

Traditional medicines
Some traditional medicines may contain endangered plant or animal products and these should be declared.
Prescription medicines
If you are carrying prescription medication you do not need to declare these provided you import no more than three months supply. You should carry a letter of prescription from your doctor in the English language describing your medical condition. If you are residing or visiting Australia for three months or longer and require ongoing medications, you should visit an Australian doctor to obtain your prescriptions. If you are intending to have your medications sent through the mail or via courier, import permits will be required prior to importing the medications. You should enquire about the import procedures before you arrive in Australia. The Department of Health has more advice for travellers bringing medications into Australia.
No need to declare
You do not need to declare medications such as aspirin, paracetamol or Australian over the counter medications.
If you are carrying prescription medication you do not need to declare these provided you import no more than three months supply.
You should carry a letter or prescription from your doctor in the English language describing your medication and medical condition.

For those who tried Singpost,
Dun sa 20kg..pde ba for example 2 boxes gamitin to maximize ung 20kg? Or ung 20kg is per box only?
May recently po ba nagcheck-in ng box via scoot or jetstar ang airline? Kasi instead of buying additional luggage, balak ko nlng check-in ung box. Thanks!

yung noodles like pancit canton, i think i-aallow naman yan, as long as artificial lahat nung seasoning (e.g. walang dried meat ingredient or chicharon kagaya nung lucky me la paz batchoy hehe)...
pero might as well huwag na lang magdala muna ng food para walang hassle going through customs

I know may mabibili nito sa AU, pero mas mura pa din sa Pinas especially if you're a new migrant...
Thanks!
