tiyagaan lang sa una...once na ngkawork kn tuloy tuloy n rin yun... pahirapan minsan sa unang work dahil yung burden of checking of your background etc... once someone hired you madali kn makahanap ulit... saka mostly prefer nila my local experience...so kung madami applicants priority nila mga my local experience... what i notice also pag overqualified k ayaw din nila kasi alam nila iiwanan mo rin sila... kya when applying just specify those things n gusto nila makita... but minsan swertihan din lang din... kya tiyaga lang and pray eventually you will get one...c",)

@Nadine i dont think directed to pinoys per se..... I think generalization yun. In passing lng in kasi i heard them talking when the news was on sa pt's room. Kasi the news was about young ozzies not finding work specially sa mining industry then i think someone sa news clip was wondering why foreigners then asians yun nasa clip get jobs etc. but also new zealanders kasi sila ung fly in fly out eh.

So the s.o. Made that comment pero they were din the type kung sa u.s. pa rednecks.. Hehehe.

Pero still a very racist remarks.

I agree, redneck comment nga hehe. Yup, I heard from the news a few days ago about Aussie employment. Well, if hindi nila tayo kailangan, bakit patuloy pa rin sila hiring of foreign talent di ba? It's just that they need us, they really do. Which is good for us. Pero I heard there are also plans to tighten the 457.

@Nadine reply ni lokijr sa akin from the previous page was that foreign workers are paid cheaper compared to oz workers in mining.. Hence the comment i guess from said puti when he saw the news.. If u pay in peanuts. You get monkeys.. I guess kasi the ozzies with their unions will not agree to said payment amount.

@li_i_ren we've been called brown monkeys long before I was born and I am not offended by it at all. Racism is subjective, kung magpapa-apekto ka talo ka. Kaya sa mga natatakot sa racism sa Australia, think of a different term for it. "Lait" would be a nice term, magaling tayo manlait ng tao diba? So other races do the same, just do your job well and ignore them :D

You can tell them to call you by your name.Dont allow them to do that to you.Sabihin mo lang na ayaw mo ng ganun. Hindi ka naman nila pepersonalin. Madali silang kausap dito. :-)

@vhoythoy ^ Whoa whoa foul yan! I for one hate it kapag yung kabayan na cashier sa Carrefour ay mumurahin sa tagalog yung bagger na pana sa likod nya kapag mabagal kumilos. Parang traydor ang dating. Ayoko namang sabihan ako ng bad words in another language. Golden rule lang.

^^ hahaha joke lang. napunta kasi tayo sa usapang monkeys =)

But the remediation for that is kausapin yung nagsabi. Also, look on the established professional and ethical policy ng Company and submit formal complaint sa higher management. Usually company's have policies on that.

Onga po...alam ko may explicit law sa Australia na nagbabawal diyan so I doubt an incident like that will occur in Australia.

What worries me is, as a nation, we Filipinos are too sensitive and react too much. Konting lait lang galing sa ibang lahi nagdedemand na tayo ng apology, samantalang ang hilig natin sa showbiz, lait etc....Of course, huwag natin pabayaan tapak tapakan ang sarili natin pero most of the times, just roll with the punches and laugh :)

    Question po.
Yung roughly AU$4,000 per month okay na ba yun na sahod as a start, while yung partner naghahanap pa ng work?
Magkakasya naman po yan sa mga needs to start a life.
    Magkano po ang tax nito?
    Salamat!

question lang po, yung student visa holder po ba ay consider as foreign residents sa computation ng income tax, so 32.5% ang rate nya. me and my husband are trying to estimates will be cashflow.
    ME (student) : 20 hrs x A$15 x 4 weeks x 67.5%(net of tax) = A$810.00
    HUSBAND : 40 hrs x A$20 x 4 weeks x 67.5%(net of tax) = A$2,160.00
less than 3K in month. in case ganito ang maging scenario, super tipid dapat and if possible double job si husband. #:-S
