    1. First and foremost, make sure that your job experience/s are aligned to the roles and definition of ANZSCO 233512.
    2. See the latest MSA booklet. All you need is there. If in doubt, raise a question here.
    3. Yes, ako DIY. 233512 din. Mostly relied here on the forum. It can be done. Simple but not easy.

The skills assessment is only for migration purposes. It has nothing to do with employment. You need to check the state you’re moving to if licence would be required. Hope that helps

Ganun po ba. So having a positive result po sa Engineers Australia Skills Assessment doesn't mean may license ka na as an engineer? Newbie question lang po. Marami pong salamat. God bless.

EA is a professional body. Each state has its own regulations for licensing. You need to look further into that. Just a tip, concentrate first on getting your skills assessed - the migration side of things. Once you’ve got that sorted, that’s when you look into the licensing side of things as this will depend on the state you’d like to move to. Some don’t require licensing whilst others do. Good luck

Hi guys, I'm in the middle of something here. Before everything else, I want to lay down all the info of my case.

June 2012 - Started my engineering experience with position 'Engineer 1' at Company A
June 2017 - My 5th year at Company A with position 'Unit Leader'
August 2017 - Applied for CDR+RSEA on Engineers Australia
September 2017 - Got a positive outcome letter from EA with acknowledged overseas employment written as 'June 2012 to September 2017'
March 2020 - Still waiting for ITA. Still in the current position as Unit Leader at Company A.
June 2020 - My 8th year as Unit Leader at Company A.
September 2020 - Original outcome letter would be 3 years old.

After my 5th year at Company A as a Unit Leader, I applied for CDR + RSEA on Engineers Australia (EA) way back August 2017 and got the outcome letter in September 2017. To date, I haven't been invited yet and fear that my outcome letter would deem invalid should I get the invite past September 2020. I asked EA about updating my outcome letter to further the validity of it for another 3 years. They replied and suggested to apply for a duplicate letter for $121.00 (incl. GST) and they would produce the EXACT same letter except with the most recent date, retaining my overseas employment up until September 2017.

BUT I just figured that I can claim for another 5 points for my overseas job experience since it'll be my 8th year at Company A at exactly the same position (Unit Leader) as when I applied my CDR+RSEA three years ago.

Question, do you think it would be wise for me to further my relevant skilled employment assessment from 'June 2012-September 2017' to 'June 2012-June 2020' so I can claim for additional 5 points on my EOI? This is possible via EA portal but would cost me more $$$ on top of the duplicate letter ($121). And had I not applied for it and asked only for a duplicate letter, do you think DOHA would still consider it valid since I still hold the EXACT same position as when I applied my CDR+RSEA three years ago?

Guys, is there such thing as assessment renewal? Mag-3 years old na kasi yung assessment ko come September 2020 but I'm not yet invited.. I've heard na DOHA only considers EA assessment within three years prior to outcome...

How do I go about this? Eto po ba yung duplicate letter?

PS. EA replied. It'll cost $121.00 (incl GST). Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

If you need a letter that is identical to the previous assessment outcome with the current date, you can request a duplicate letter, a standard administration fee applies. That's the $121.

If you need the original outcome to be updated, for example, adding/removing additional services (e.g. work experience), you can request an updated letter, the fee may vary depending on the service provided.

Contact [email protected] for details on the process.

REQUIRED na po ba ngayon mag pa' RSEA and kapag un sinabi ni EA un na din susundin ng Doha? alam ko dati (last 2017) ang final say pa din is DoHA since may sarili silang process pag'check ng points for experience. guide lang ata ang assessing authority pero ang final say is Doha. may ganitong issue sa ACS group dati na ganto ang inaward ni assessing authority then pagdating sa DIBP (tawag sa DoHA dati) hindi kinonsider lahat. diko lam if ganun pa rin process hanggang ngayon. pls enlighten me guys.

I just got a word from another forumer na if only the experience is added whilst the position is not changed since the last CDR+RSEA application, a second RSEA assessment wouldn't be necessary. Duplicate letter would suffice. Will this hold true on the perspective of DOHA?

Also, in relation to Nash's question, may independent process pa po ba ang pagkuha ng DOHA ng overseas experience?

It’s still the same, DHA has the final say but will highly make reference to the outcome letter. I always advice my clients to avail the RSEA so there’s no grey area anymore as most likely it will be the same decision as the case officer and if it isn’t then we’ve got a good ground to question it. So far we’ve not had any case where the case officer had questioned the skills assessment outcome. In the end it will just give you the confidence that you are claiming the appropriate points. I’ve actually just done a consultation with an aspiring migrant who didn’t want to do the RSEA and he was nearly going to claim some experience which upon mentioning it to me I straightaway told him he can’t claim it. If he would have not spoken to me and had a better understanding he probably would have over claimed his points. If one is doing a DIY, I would strongly suggest to do RSEA. Don’t do a short cut and assume that you know exactly what You’re doing.

Even if you changed position if you are still doing the same tasks or lumawak lang, it would be fine. If you are confident that your tasks are highly relevant to your nominated ANZSCO then you'll be fine. Optional lang nman ang pagpapaassess ng experience sa EA but it would be worth it to do so, it lessen the probability of having the CO questioning the relevance of your duties. Even if you resigned from the company assessed by EA and get employed in a new company with the same tasks, you can still claim additional pts for it. Sa DOHA nman ang assessment nila would be how genuine your documents are. Wag matakot if relevant nman sa ANZSCO ung tasks mo and genuine yung info and docs that you have provided. Sana nakatulong ako.

not required, if you are sure of your relevant work experience plus confident ka sa supporting documents on your claim years of exp then pwede na huwag na.

hndi ko to kinuha. 1 reason is im confident of the exp and i have sufficient docs to support my claim plus i have a limited budget.

again, u need to be confident of your claim and well supported.

Currently nasa Australia po ako and just finished postgraduate degree in telecommunications and network engineering. Electronics engineering po bachelor degree ko and licensed electronics engineer and technician sa pinas with no working experience.

Hingi po sana ako tulong for CDR writing for telecommunications engineer. A copy for guide po sana thank you.

Hello po mga kabayan! I’m a Mechanical Engineer with 5 yrs exp. Ongoing na po pagaayos ko for skill assessment through an agent. 75 points max lang po kasi ang pwede kong makuha since sabi nung agent ko is baka di macredit ang work experience ko. Naisip ko lang, worth it ba kung magtake ako ng NAATI CCL test sa Australia for another 5 points since magbakasyon naman ako sadya doon by November this year. may chance na po kaya ako mainvite with 80 points for 189, 85 for 190? Considering na 90pointers ang iniinvite nila lately. Salamat po sa makakasagot God Bless!😇

With regard to NAATI Exam, laking bagay siya, nahatak points ko. (Waiting for ITA)

If magbabakasyon ka rin naman dun, at pursigido ka talaga, then take the NAATI Exam. Sayang at nandun ka na rin naman. But make sure din na ma-maximize mo lahat ng possible sources of points such as English Exam and 'yung work experience.

So sa 75 points, wala pang na-consider na points dun from work experience???

Same tayo, ME ako na may experience sa Power Plant industry. Nominated occupation ko eh ME pero dahil di nila na-feel na akma sa ME 'yung experience ko (which is weird), pinapili ako between Engineering Technologist or Production/Plant Engineer. :)

Anyway, all the best! Good luck!

Nice bro small world. Kung ganon, anong pinili mo? Kung engineering technologist ba eh macoconsider pa din education natin which is bachelor degree?
