QUESTION: Is it recommendable to apply with 75 points?

Hi everyone, me and my partner are planning to migrate to australia via skilled visa 189 or 190. However, my skills experience is only 2yrs and 5 months. This would not give me any points for skills experience. My partner is also not qualified to have skills assessment. So all in all, my points will only be 75 after considering the said circumstances. Should I continue with the application or is it a waste of money? Or should I accumulate up to 3 years of skills experience before applying to get 5 points, so that I will have a total of 80 points. Also, if i applied as single, that would add 5 points on my part. Please help.

Depende po sa Occupation, may mga occupation na mataas ang competition that 75pts won't cut, like for Case ng Software Engineers before(i think till now), naiinvite lang is around 85 to 90pts. Important is to accumulate more points to get a better chance of invite

take note po magbabawas pa ng years dun sa total work experience mo kasi hindi counted as skilled work yung few years after graduation (at least sa ACS ganito).

    https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skillselect/invitation-rounds

If magstrategise ako, since ito ang lagi naiinvite na points and kulang ako. Try ko magNAATI, then dapat nacheck mo lagi ang state kung open ang occupation mo, offshore, and other requirements. Then pagpasok, applyan mo sa EOI agad. New financial year, reset agad. Kasi mabilis maubos.

The recovery paunti unit
Kung may job offer ba - Depende sa sinet nila

I always tell aspiring migrants, as long as you meet the eligibility requirement there is always that possibility. I’m not the type who would tell them they’ve got no chance (if the meet the eligibility points) kasi at the end of the day no one really knows. Likely mas mahirap if lower points but to say there is mo chance is somehow wrong. There are two things to note here, EOI automatically gets updated. This means if you lodged it with 2.5 years experience the time gets added on your profile. This means once you reach 3 years of experience, you’ll automatically gain 5 points. You’ll get notified for the change. Time just keeps on adding until you update the EOI if in case you’ve finished your employment in your current one. Updating it is important or you’ll overclaim points and risk getting refused.

Also another thing to point out, priority points only applies to 189 and 491 (family sponsored). 190 and 491 (regional sponsored) selection process isn’t just determined by points, it’s more the selection criteria of the state/regional area. My suggestion is not to fixate yourself to a 189 and 190, be open to 491 as well. In fact, it’s much faster to get an invite via 491 over other subclasses - always has been even prepandemic. Hope that helps.
