    really? ako pa lang ba ang naka SVP na na-refuse? Sad ako sobra. I am trying to convince myself na I'm going to be okay. My inlaws just asked me if I want to watch a movie (cinema date I guess?) I can feel their effort to make me feel better pero I feel so terrible given the fact that they have spent so much money on me and here, refusal letter na receive ko.

    Ang nakalagay lang is: I was not satisfied that you met the relevant criteria for the grant of this visa. Decision: I gave weighed the applicants circumstances and immigration history and have also considered whether there are any other matters relevant to this assessment of her genuine intention to temporarily stay in Australia. On balance I am not satisfied that Ms. (Name) is a genuine applicant for entry and stay as a student because I am not satisfied that she intends to genuinely stay in Australia.

    I would like to ask regarding sa re-lodge? Nakalagay kasi sa "Question about this Decision": No further assessment of this visa application can be taken at this office. However, if you have any questions about this decision or the process or information that was taken into account, you can contact this office.

    Pwede naman ako mag relodge diba?

    Question ng inlaws ko: Nakakasama ba yung magtanong ako for updates re. my visa grant last Oct. 7? Iniisip niya kasi baka dahil doon at nakulitan sa akin.

    @bbgirl di ko sure if may iba pa sis but since i became a member ikaw palang yun napansin ko na narefuse na SVP. :(

    Madami ka ba relatives sa Oz sis? I think ang reason ng refusal is you have failed to prove na Genuine Temporary Entrant ka and that you intend to go back sa pinas once you finish your schooling.

    Yes pwede ka magrelodge, whole application altogether, siguro this time better show more proof of your home ties sa pinas? And that mas stronger ang ties mo sa pinas than in Oz.

    Tingin ko lang to ha. :)

    @ellajing paano ko kaya ipprove yon? Pwede kaya yung condo ko na binabayaran ko pa din and yung son na maiiwan ko sa mommy ko. Siyempre babalikan ko siya. Sinabi ko kasi sa case officer ko yun na I will go back home for my son, make sure he graduates his elementary studies for he is improving with his school na din.

    @bbgirl Parang unlikely naman na yung follow ups mo would have a bearing on your visa refusal pero putting myself in the case officer's shoes, parang makulit nga if puro follow up eh 2014 pa naman ang start ng classes. Parang what's the reason, why so atat? hehe :D Pero if once ka lang naman nag follow up, hindi naman siguro pagiging makulit yun.

    @bbgirl aaahh.. so iwan mo pala yung baby mo sis? Pero yung husband mo will go with you? Siguro they thought easy breezy lang naman kunin ang son mo eventually? Haayy hindi ko rin alam. Affected ako with this sa totoo lang, same date pa naman tayo nag-lodge :(

    I really thought pag SVP next to zero na ang chance for refusal :(

    @ten2six mas nasasad ako sa fact na parang ako lang nakatangap ng refusal under SVP. nag follow up kasi ako dahil sabi ng CO ko, may additional documents daw siyang hihingiin sa akin and worried ako actually sa medical namin if cleared or not. I thought okay lang naman, although nagreply sila sa akin na under assessment pa nga daw.

    @ellajing yes iiwan ko son ko. my husband will go with me. hindi ko nga din alam what happened eh. haaay heavy heart right now.

    @bbgirl i guess ang dapat una mong gawin is contact the office. ask mo yung specific reasons. sinabi naman nila na you can ask them about the info that was taken into account. then, take it from there. i know, it's a question of GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) but as to why you did not satisfy it, di natin alam.

    @iheartoz and then after that, what's next? Tama bang IDP na ang pupuntahan ko? What's the difference sa Immigration Lawyers? Also magkakano ba ang immigration lawyer? Tama ba na ang immigration lawyers ang magpprocess ng applicaton mo on your behalf? Yun din ba ang gawain ng IDP?

    One last question, so good as gone na ba ang Php 43K na inapply ko? :(

    @bbgirl kung alam mo na yung specific reasons, then, you can do something about it para masatisfy mo yung kung ano ang kulang. i dunno kung ano ang difference ng ginagawa ng immigration lawyers and IDP. pagkakaalam ko lang kasi, they assist sa visa application. basically, make sure na you have submitted all the requirements. unfortunately, sis, yup...43k is gone. if you reapply, you have to pay for the visa fee again. unless...you make an appeal?

    @iheartoz thanks!

    Not all decisions are 'reviewable decisions' daw. Based sa decision sa akin parang ang naiisip ko na lang is to seek advice from IDP/immigration lawyer. I still hope I can appeal though. Naiyak ko na ang result ng visa application ko. Nakakaiyak yung effort ng in-laws ko to make me feel better. Hay, mas lalo ang hirap huminga given they wanted to support and nasayang ko ang pera nila.

    @bbgirl Yun yung sinabi nila sayo sis? Ang unfair naman nun. Sige sis ask ka ng advice from IDP para at least you can get a professional feedback kung ano usually ang cases ng mga SVP na refused ang visa.

    I feel for you masakit talaga what happened pero look at the brighter side of things nalang, at least you have several months pa to come up with the best plan of action in your situation. And be grateful for your in-laws, for everything they've done for you. Kasi di naman lahat may mga ganyan kababait na in-laws hehe. :)

    @bbgirl Hello bbgirl, sorry to hear the refusal of your visa. Gusto ko lang sana mag-ask, direct application ka ba or may agent ka? I'm not familiar kasi with "VIA"..

    Anyway, believe that God has a reason for it. Never lose hope :)

    @asdfghjklqwerty thank you. I am still hopeful I can re apply the second time and ma-grant na ako. Sana masatisfy ko na GTE and genuine student talaga ako. Direct application kasi ako sa UNI kaya nag direct apply ako sa VIA.

    @danyan2001us thank you po.

    @ellajing yes I am so grateful to have supportive inlaws. Im sure my inlaws are saddened with the outcome of my application and bilib ako sa kanila ngayon kasi tinatry pa din nila ako pasayahin. Yun ang masakit for me. I can just imagine the hard earned money that they have spent. Iniisip ko what went wrong with my interview when I told them the truth.

    Good evening to all!

    @bbgirl I see. Is it possible na visa processing lang sa IDP when you have your COE na? That's what I'm planning to do kasi, since may kakilala na education provider na tutulong samin sa enrolment sa school..

    OT...guys share ko lang sa inyo itong speech kanina ni Christopher Pyne sa local TV dito sa Melbourne, siya yong present Minister of Education dito sa OZ....maganda ang pinahayag nyang suporta ng present OZ government sa mga international students at may mga iconsider sila na mga recommendations like i extend din ang Post Study Visa (PSV) sa mga nasa Tafe (vocational courses 572 visa). Gusto nila na irevive ang malaking income nila from international students....malaki kasi ang nadecrease sa panahon ng Labor government...hope it will encourage more Pinoy students to come to OZ....below ay ang link ng speeck ni Pyne

    @asdfghjklqwerty thanks!

    Hi all before I sleep, nabasa ko na yung documents lahat lahat and na absorb ko na.

    2 reasons why CO does not believe I am a genuine student:

    1. Because I studied for 6 years in college (I explained her I got pregnant and was a working student), she is not convinced that I will not complete my course of study

    2. I am also not satisfied that this course in IT will have a significant benefit to her future.

    O well, hindi na lungkot pero masama na loob ko after reading it. The CO is just doing her job. Nagkamali lang siya talaga ng judgement niya. What can I do? Itutulog ko na lang ito.

    Sad. :(
