Is getting SG Salary on the first job in AU possible?

Si misis naman was a massive downgrade sa 1st job nya as she used be a reporting manager in one of the big insurance firms in SG but dito she was working as assistant accountant in a local company.

But then again, you just have to work hard and eventually you will adjust na rin. Big adjustment? Yes definitely, we were no longer that trigger happy sa gastos namin as compared to Singapore before.

yan din ang napansin ko, parang dito sa AU, mas tipid kame. compared sa SG na trigger happy. dahil siguro eto sa malaki ang take home natin sa SG nuon compared dito sa AU, but may counter part naman yung nabawas na take home, the pressure is less at work, more time for family. You got a backyard, a car. So up to you. I would say, like @Admin said maganda ang SG for singles while AU for family with kids.

single ako. pero not necessarily the case na mas maganda SG for me. nade-dread ko pagiging EPass holder pag may mga external trainings, kasi hindi agad ako nakakasali dahil di pwede i-claim ng company ung fees for you as tax rebate. also, may mga events na for citizen / PRs lang dito, like free healthcheck (which though di ko naman kelangan, pero the thought of it lingers parin).

and eto ung pinaka-masaklap, hindi ko pwede i-pursue ang isang sobrang gusto kong passion kasi hindi ako pwede masama sa official roster dahil hindi ako PR or citizen. mawawala na lahat limitations na to sa OZ, thank God

heads-up lang sa 1 to 2 years na magwork ka pa dito sa SG pag may grant ka na. may high possibility na di ka makakapag convert to OZ citizenship (if gusto mo) in your existing visa. kasi you need to be in OZ for at least 4 years bago ka makapag-apply, eh validity ng 189/190 ay 5 years lang. so kelangan mo mag apply ng RRV, or alternatively, di ka aalis ng OZ until ma-convert.

Yup, I have a friend d2 sa SG na medtech for many years, then umuwi na ng pinas nung nanganak. Nkita ko lang this month na kakamove lang nila sa Melbourne with her family.

@prcand wow congrats on your new job sa Au, meaning online ka nag apply since July pa move mo don? and may I know kung saang field ka?

regarding the citizenship, yup, aware ako na i would need an RRV or stay in AU until maconvert kung after 2 yrs pa ako mag move to Au. Though di pa rin naman talaga final kung magstay pa ako sa sg nang ganong katagal, who knows, andon na pala ako by early next year hehe...

@engineer20 hala... hindi ako bigtime, mahirap lang po ako. ni-quote ko lang ung 11.5% para mabigyan ng justification ang salary sacrifice at 15%, instead of the normal over 30% - 40% tax rate )

Hello mga Sir/Ma'am,
I'm currently a Mall Engineer( manages operations ang maintenance of the facilities/equipment of the building) here in Pinas. Im a licensed Mechanical Engineer. Hingi lang po ako advice. Though 1 year palang ang experience ko, i dream of working in OZ. Do you think it is wise to pursue facilities engineering if i want to work in australia? Im also taking my girlfriend ( soon to be my wife) who is a CPA with me. Should I shift to a different industry like oil and gas or construction? Please help po. This is my dilemma right now. Is facilities engineering best suited to make a good career sa australia or even penetrating it?
