  Hi. Need help and info. May nakapag sabi sakin na I can apply for a PR already kahit na student visa ang sakin since i have the skills and work experience for my profession already. Anyone who acquired a PR kahit di pa nila tapos studies nila? Thanks in advance.

  @adelaide8 as per immigration website, you can only claim points if you have completed your australian education
  "You can receive five points if you have completed one or more degrees, diplomas or trade qualifications for award through a course or courses taken at an Australian educational institution."

  @gerardds hi. based on my qualifications in the philippines, i'm already ok w/ the eligibility points (age, degree and professional experience). are you saying i can't apply for a PR if i haven't finished my degree in australia yet?

  @adelaide8 you can apply for PR if you have 60 points. im saying you cannot claim points for australian education qualification. Just wondering, why did you applied for student visa instead of PR directly?

  @adelaide8 you have to apply for a skills assesment for your nominated occupation. The assesing body will check if your degree and work experience from the Phils are suitable for migration. This will determine your points for degree & overseas wrk exp.
