Gusto mo bang maging RN doon? Or gusto mong mag masters para added qualification at bumalik sa Pinas? Or para maging permanent resident doon?

Hindi ko sure sa background ng Masters sa UNE pero usually hindi ka magiging RN doon with that. Check mo kung makaka qualify ka as RN after. Kung mag RN ka take bridging, conversion or bachelors.

Kung babalik ka ng Pinas, no problem.

Kung gusto mo maging PR, just make sure na two years ang course mopero yun nga, baka hindi ka maging RN.

I just read their website, may Master of Nursing Practice pala sila na entry level. 2.5 years which will lead to RN registration.

I think there are better, cheaper, shorter and more practical options than this.

Thank you very much Born for your suggestion, Yah that's really one of my major goal to be an RN that is qualified for international standard. Since I'm a graduate from Cebu Doctors University, Board passer as well. I really don't know if my credential belongs to Section 1 or section 2..

    Got any ideas?

I will do my research on Master of Nursing.

Hi po! Yung sa unimelb na master of nursing sci will automatically lead to registration? Talked about this with my agent and sabi niya hindi daw pero sa website naman parang iniimply na pwede naman.

Yes, I think so kasi may iba talaga silang Master courses. Doon kasi sila kikita. Haha.

Pero yun nga, sobrang mahal sa UniMelb.

Hi gold!!!! what's the name of your school that you've graduated when you took up your bachelor of nursing? is it equivalent of AUS degree?

@teachernino Your bachelor's degree should be equivalent with Au bachelor's degree as per AHPRA/DIBP.

So hindi siya building up on registration. In short, karamihan ng content nila is to prepare the student to be a nurse. But, good thing sa Melb Uni is maganda yung reputation ng school as a whole.

As far as AHPRA is concerned, hindi equivalent ng Bachelor of Science in Nursing natin sa Bachelor of Nursing dito kaya pinapabridging tayo o conversion.

What do you mean graduate entry course?

For PR, kailangan ng ANMAC skills assessment. For ANMAC skills assessment, kailangan ng AHPRA Div 1 Registration. Kung desidido ka na magaral ng Bachelor course instead of bridging, try mo gumamit ng education agent kasi sila magaasekaso at by commission basis sila so walang bayad.

Yung IELTS naman is good for 2 years, kung gusto mo mag PR na gamit mo yan dapat less than 2 years yung course mo. Either bridging o 1-year course ang kailangan mo. Remember may AHPRA registration post-studies (weeks), ANMAC assessment (at least 3 months), and waiting for invitation to apply PR. However, pag less than 2 years, hindi ka eligible sa mga points o visa requirements na may "Australian study requirement".

    @GoldSeeker

Update: Kakasearch ko lang pala.. http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Education/Approved-Programs-of-Study.aspx Nurse, Div 1, General

May mga iilan na Masters level yung entry to practice. So I think pwede mo yun kunin. I'm not sure kung pwede nilang ibaba yung requirements from 4-5 semesters. Bear in mind, 2 levels na mas mataas yung Masters over Bachelor, so mas mataas yung expectation. At madaming schools dun sa list, na very reputable, so mataas rin yung standards. That's why mas may advantage. However, I think mas mahal siya.

At present, nag-aaply ako sa Flinders and ACU.

Also, may I know po kung saan kayo nag-aaral?

Ah iba pala dati mong course so ang pathway mo ay Masters na entry level or Bachelors na entry level din.

I think mas mahal yata ang Masters, tuition fee-wise and cost of living since Melbourne yun compared to ACU and Flinders, na mas makakamura ka sa rent.

Will keep those in mind. :)

Btw is it true po that newly grads are having a hard time to look for permanent nursing jobs right now (bec the jobs require experience and specialization)? Makakatulong po ba na magwork as an assistant nurse habang nag-aaral pa ako? :)

Yun ang sabi nila. May new grad program kasi sa Australia. So so mga new grads dyan sila nababagay.

    @GoldSeeker

My bad...

I'm sure kaya mo. So kailangan mong ipasa para mapasa mo yung subject.

Next year pa ba? 1st o 2nd sem? May agent ka ba?

IELTS 2 years validity. Yan yung guidelines ng AHPRA at Immigration. Try mo ask sources nila.. Hehehe

San ba nakatira relatives mo? Makikitira ka ba sa kanila?

    Btw, sa Deakin University ako.

    573 (Bachelor's) TIMELINE:
22/03/14 Online application (with regrets--dapat nagagent!)
