Certificate Course or Diploma Course for Student Visa

Hi everyone, baka may nakakaalam lang and pwede magbigay ng advise sa amin ng wife ko. Naging open narin kasi kami sa option na Student Visa. Gusto ng wife ko yung Early Childhood Education and Care sa MEGT. Ngayon ang tanong ko sana is kung pwede ba kami maka-apply ng PR after ng Certificate Course nya which is yung duration is total of 25 weeks lang. While yung Diploma course naman is 70 weeks. Short parin sya sa two years at least para kami maka apply ng PR. Sana may makatulong or suggest sa amin.

Salamat!

Unfortunately di keo maka apply PR with those courses. kulang sa 2 years. besides even after you finish a 2 year course you need to be registered to work as a teacher and have a skills assessment from the relevant skills assessment body for the course. Each state will have different requirements for teacher registration.

Not an expert on early childhood teachers.,as I came to Aus as an RN but as far as I am aware almost pareho ang pathway nya.

Refer to the links below. you can also email them to get more info:

@kels Very broad n yung experience nyo. have you tried to look into the skilled occupation list or consolidated skilled occupation list? baka naka list din yung occupation nyo.

para if ever ipa skills assessment nyo n lnh yung education nyo and your experience at diretcho n keo apply PR rather than go the student visa route...

@tooties: I graduated as an Electrical Engineer but hindi na practice kasi. my work experience is in Oil and Gas Industry.

Balak ko mag pa assess sa Engineers Australia either Plant/production Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Engineering Technoligist.

Ang tanong ko kasi is how does the point system works? di ba sa EOI yun?

Medyo alanganin na ako sa edad 42yo na ako at 15 points lang.

    Any advise?

    Regards

Here's a good idea to calculate your estimate points
    http://www.harriswake.com/skillselectpointscalculator

You must first have your occupational experience and education accredited by Engineers Australia for you to claim the points.

One way to maximize your points as well is to get 8.0 in IELTS or equivalent english exam test like toefl or PTE.

you can also look for either a state sponsor 190 ( 5points)or 489 regional sponsorship (10 points) to get additional points.
