Hi guys, newbie here.

I'm considering migrating to Australia, specifically in Melbourne, because that's where my siblings are currently.

I graduated Computer Engineering and currently a Technical Writer (TW) here in the Philippines for almost 5 years. As I've researched, TW is included in CSOL, but is only open for state nomination at ACT. I'm rooting for VIC so I can stay with my siblings.

Although I'm a TW by title, I'm part of the QA Team in my company, and perform end-user testings for applications as well. I was wondering if I could apply a 190 visa as a Software Tester? It is the closest job title I could find now that fits my job description.

Anybody here that has gone through a similar situation?

Any suggestions?

Hello there! Sa mga RNs ilan weeks ang waiting time before you receive an invitation?

Pwede ba 2 EOI ang i-submit, one for 190 and the other is for 189?

@romaroms pwede kaya mag update ng appkication sa kanila? I mean im going to withdraw my nsw eoi application. Pwede bang sabihin ko sa knila na pa updatr yung item na yun , to change no. Dont sa question na did u have other pending application with other state?

@romaroms yung gagamitin ko bang email to send them an update is yung email na ginamit nila nung nagpadala ng acknowledgment? if not, anong ginamit mong email?

@tonzap26 ito ang nakuha ko kay @romaroms Yung may summary of experience, job roles and responsibilities, key achievements, education, at references.

@mergetwo hi, yup pwede naman mag-update sa kanila. Inform mo na lang din sila ng reason s mo for updating. Nakapagrequest na rin ako ng update sa kanila kasi mali na enter kong work experience. Same email na nilagay ko sa kanila for correspondence yung ginagamit ko basta i-quote mo lang yung SS application number.

yung EOI for NSW is sa skillselect then yung sa Victoria is apply sa website nila for nomination then after nominated by Victoria EOI and makakarecieve ka ng ITA.

@mergetwo 90 days lang ba sya sa US in total? Hindi na kelangan ng US FBI clearance if ganun kasi hindi naman sya naka accumulate ng 12 months.

@rich88 nabasa ko lang na at least 90 days sa isang post, pero sa dibp site nakalagay na 12mos. Pero sa immiaccount daw 90days. So naguguluhan ako. Anyways, 4x sya nag US , 4+3+3+3mos, i guess abot sya ng 12mos in total. Hehe

@auitdreamer i have no idea. Haha. Yan din ang tanong ko. Pero ako nagpasa both then i withdre NSW kasi in hindsight, its useless for me to submit 190 for NSW dahil sa vic lang avail ang job code na inaapplyan namin.

@dorbsdee you can submit 1 eoi for each state. Then nsw, mag aantay ka nalang ng ITA. Bit for vic, you have to apply for nomination separately. And when in the application they ask you if you have lodge an eoi application and you said yes, pastemo nalang dun ung vic eoi #mo.

May naka experience na po ba nito sa inyo? Bale nagpasa ako ng application for State Sponsorship s Victoria 2 Days ago. Eto reply nila:

Unfortunately our Industry Panel will be unable to assess your skills based upon your current CV. Please provide a detailed CV, including further details around the description of responsibilities and daily tasks performed within employment. Ensure that this includes dates of employment specifying month and year, and clarifies any gaps in employment.

Pero sure naman ako na nagpasa ako ng detailed CV.
Pero, after 3 minutes nag email ulit (di pa ko nag rereply sa first email):

Thank you for the information you have sent to the Victorian Government's Skilled and Business Migration Program. The reference number is SS-2016-XXXXXX. The nominated occupation is 261313 Software Engineer.

Your application will be processed and reviewed for Victorian Government nomination. This process may take up to twelve weeks and you will be advised of the outcome as soon as a decision has been made. We request that you do not enquire on the progress of the application during this period.

Mag send pa ba ako ng detailed CV? Or antay ko na lang to kung ok sa kanila or not? Medyo nalito ako eh, parang hindi yata nakita na may attached na ko na detailed CV tapos nag send na kagad ng auto reply.
