@Noemi_Mandap1 sa tingin ko kung may letter from HR na tax exempt, tatanggapin na ng Case Officer. Attach mo lang ung payslips at contract as proof of paid employment.

@vangie para malinaw lang walang reciprocity ang AU and NZ for this profession kasi walang registration ang lab worker sa Australia. Wala ring APC

@raspberry0707 pansin ko sa form ngayon wala namang option na lab tech muna ang assessment instead na scientist. Iisang form lang.

@ajbb mag antay ka lang sa August they will inform you the date and location ng testing center kung saang country ka man magtatake ng exam..

Hello good day po! Meron po kong 2 1/2 yrs expi as Med tech sa pinas. May gusto lang po ako iclarrify. Kasi po usually sa gcc lab technician ang nasa coe. Di po ba yun magkakaproblema kasi plano ko habang nasa dubai ayusin ko na papers after 1 yr ko dito sa present company ko. Or dapat lab technologist ang kunin kong coe sa kanila? Ang hirap kasi nila paliwanagan na magkaiba un. Though ung sa dha license ko nmn is lab technologist.

What do you mean dun sa walang registration ang Lab Worker sa Aus? Hindi condsidered na registration ung sa AIMS?

Wala ngang Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) dito sa Australia, pero ang pagkakaalam ko na equivalent nun e yung AIMS certificate para mkpractice as Scientist. Magkaiba ang process ng NZ at Aus, kaya malamang need pa din ng bridging course kahit ngwowork na dito sa Aus.

Nag-apply ako sa MSCNZ last 2013. Nung time na un may option to choose kung technician or scientist yung assessment. Baka binago na nila. Kse kung same lang ang assessment, hindi sana na-deny yung first application ko as Scientist. Nag-reappeal ako through email. Wala akong pinasa na new form or documents, but they gave me a certificate as MLT.

@christian009 tama ka magkaiba ang Med Technologist tsaka Lab Technician. Ano ba ung nasa contract mo at Job Description?

Baka may from Dubai dito sa forum na maka-help sa yo.

Pero eto e palagay ko lang ha.. hindi ako sure.. whether technician or technologist.. considered pa din dito sa Australia na technician.. kaya nga ung initial assessment natin dito e Med Lab Technician. Kaya sa palagay ko walang magiging problema.

Basta dapat consistent ka sa mga infos na isusubmit mo. Kung ano ang nsa COE at Job Description na ibibigay sa yo, yun dapat ang ilagay mo sa forms.

Pero pakiclarify kung anu ung walang registration ang lab worker sa australia.

Agree ako sa comments ni raspberry, ang AIMS sya ang regulating committee, sila ang ang nag-aassess at nagbibigay ng exams sa mga hindi nagaral sa oz.

Ang pagkakaalam ko lang lenient sila sa pagtanggap ng lab employees, kasi kahit anu science related na course natatanggap. Pero di ko lng alam ngayun na sa dami ng expats na lab science na credential at nakakapasa sa exams, kung set-aside na ung mga non-med-techs.

Any inputs mam raspberry...

Sis ask ko lang ito napagawi kasi ako sa site ng DIBP... An award or qualification recognised by the relevant assessing authority for your nominated skilled occupation. 10 points... tama ba ang intindi ko, eto ung kpag pumasa kna ng aims exams.

hi ask ko lang yung biochemical test sa micro na ubod ng dami lumabas na ba cya ever sa pagsusulit? yung mga imvic etc...pwede bang ibypass na kasi sobrang dami

Hello everybody,
In January 2107 Medical lab scientist was in the nomination lists for visa 190 in 4 states NSW NT QLD WA SA. However, sadly, when I checked now for updates, I found out that it is only present in NSW and NT.
Also, it is flagged, meaning it is subject to removal from SOL.
I am very disappointed, I 've already applied for September exam and paid a lot of money so far.
What are your opinions?

@vangie.. walang 10 points kapag pumasa ng AIMS exam..

Yung points na yan e for Diploma / Vocational courses / Certificates.. pero positive yung assessment.. pwedeng madami na ung experience nila kaya positive ung assessment ng qualification..

Ang points natin sa qualification e 15 points for the University Degree, after ma-assess ng AIMS (initial assessment).

So either 10 or 15 points ang makukuha mo sa qualification.. hindi pwedeng both.

@Proud_heart MLS has been flagged for removal in SOL [now called Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL)] in the past few years, but every time they release a new list on July 1 of each year, MLS was still included. Let's wait and see this coming July 1.

State Sponsorship Visa requires you to stay in regional areas of that State for 2 years, and it is hard to find a job as MLS in regional areas. So you might want to reconsider this visa type. As much as possible, apply for Visa 189 (Skilled Independent), so you can live and work anywhere in Australia, including big cities, where most of the job openings are located.

@vangie ang pagkakaintindi ko kse.. same na may registration ang Med Lab Tech / Scientist sa NZ at Aus. Kaya di ko rin sure ano yung sinasabi ni @Mia na walang registration ang Lab Worker sa Aus. Baka ibig niyang sabihin hindi compulsary. Kse for locals at foreigners na graduate dito sa Aus, hindi naman sila required to take the AIMS exam. May mga nakatrabaho kse ako na locals na hindi ng-exam ng AIMS pero Scientist. Pero para sa ating ng-graduate outside Aus, kelangan tlaga nating kumuha ng exam at mgparegister sa AIMS.

Mas madugo ang process sa NZ for MLS..
1. Assessment of qualifications by MSCNZ.. for us na graduate sa Pinas.. MLT ang binibigay na assessment.
2. You need 12 months training sa recognized na Lab sa NZ.
3. You need to enroll for a 2-year bridging course.

Yan ang dadaanan mo kung MLS sa NZ.. hindi tulad dito sa Aus.. assessment at exam lang.. tapos optional na ung membership sa AIMS.

@Mia may exam din bang binibigay ang MSCNZ after nung 2 year na bridging course?

@lecia online ko lng sya kinuha. Pero basically pareho lang kasi may variation man, konti lang. for the sake ng review online sources pwede na. Sa real setting ang reference range varies from method to methods kaya mahirap magfocus sa isang range lang.

Ung 12 months training sa NZ, una b un tapos bridging program? Or the reverse... 2 years bridging program then 12 months training?

Kaya ko nasabi lenient sila sa lab workers, kasi ung friend ng husband ko , bs biology sya s pinas but she works in laboratory... not sure saan area sya kung recept, patho collector...

@vangie after ko kse makuha yung certificate ko from MSCNZ.. nkalagay dun na I need to train for 12 months sa lab sa NZ.. bago ako mkpractice as MLT.. tapos kung gusto mo mgMLS.. need mo ng 2 years bridging course.. so habang ngb-bridging course pwede kang mgwork as MLT.

Lenient sila sa ibang roles sa Lab dito sa Aus.. like collectors, data entry, specimen reception.. etc

For MLT at MLS hinahanap nila AIMS certificate kung outside Aus kinuha ung degree.

@lecia type mo lang sa Google 'reference range lab tests Australia' madami nang lalabas. Yung sa ClinPath ung ginamit ko..

Pero tama si @vangie it varies from Lab to Lab depende sa method at machine na gamit.

Just an update sa visa 186 namin... hehe we are still waiting for the police clearance ni hubby sabi na ng consulate it will take 4-6 months bago matelease. He works kasi in afganistan wayback 2005-2007. Kung alam lng namin na ganyan katagal ang release last year pa nagsecure nkmi. So far un ang dilemma namin. Sabi ng officer in charge s company nila, wait na muna un. Worst scenario, baka statutory declaration at ung effort na ginawa namin. nka 3 months n kmi s pagaantay... grabe waiting game tlga.

@vangie grabe ang tagal naman nun.. akala ko matagal na ung 1 month na PCC namin sa Thailand.. hehe..

Kung ngwork siya sa Afghanistan.. expect nio na din na mejo matagal ung visa processing dahil sa external security check..

Oo nga e. Kung sakali ako nmn ang maging principal applicant same set of documents din hihingin, kasi nkadeclare sa 457 nya ung afganistan, bandang huli hihingin din nila pcc nya from there.

@vangie oo sis.. hihingin pa din ung police clearance sa hubby mo kahit ikaw ung principal applicant.. hiningi lahat ng police clearance sa hubby ko for the past 10 years sa mga countries na tinirhan ng more than 12 months..

Pero may expiry kse mga police clearance.. so isipin mo na lang na baka blessing in disguise na hindi nio kinuha last year.

Yung sa case namin na 18 months ung processing ng visa.. ng-expire ung Medical exam at police clearance namin. Kaya umulit pa kami ng Medical exam at police clearance sa Thailand.
