you need to consider so many things: accommodation (both are expensive), transport (both efficient), food expenses (fair)
you also need to consider your lifestyle
both cities are a very nice place to stay though.
i'm not in those cities, but rather in a city in QLD

" I am 35. I like meeting people, and when I don't work I enjoy walking, nature. I don't mind to be a bit far from the city center because I enjoy quite and peacefull places."
And yes it will be my first stay in Australia. Went once in New Zealand.. but It's quite different I think. I probably will meet some people but at that time not really.

Sydney's cost of living (e.g. accommodation, public transpo, etc.) is much higher than Melb (ridiculously expensive). Weather wise, Melbourne is much colder compared to Sydney.
I live in Melbourne, I liked it here and to be honest I was offered jobs with good pay in Sydney in the past but I did not accept.
Melburnians are nice, food/fashion and sports capital of Australia, heaps of places to go, things to do. It is a big city but you don't feel like it's so busy. Lots of laneways with cheap and good food. Vibe here is different I should say.
If you have the chance, I guess the best way is for you to suss out the two cities and decide which one suits you
I'm Australian in paper but pinoy in form....Living in the most liveable city in the world...Melbourne! Oi, oi, oi!!!

I understand what you mean.. It is a good advice, visit both and make a choice after that.
After reading your post, you almost convinced me to chose Melbourne haha, not too busy, food, nice people.. The weather is not the most important thing for me.. thank you!

Any way, is somebody could tell me about how you did generally to bring all your items with you? Is there any good company which could help me? I have some fragile object that I would like to take away with me to Australia.
