That is very strange I must say. We talk about these things amongst fellow registered migration agents and even skills assessors during round table meetings. At times ACS will deduct years prior to the last 10 years but they will definitely deduct that’s for sure. That’s very difficult for me to believe to be honest but anyway, I don’t know your friend’s situation and no point digging into his circumstance. I’ve provided my 2 cents on your query already based on my professional knowledge and experience and not just mere hearsay. All the best!

Hello po. Posting for a friend. Non-IT graduate working as Developer Analyst and narecognize nmn na ung work experience thru RPL. Question is, pano/san magpapaassess for the education part - BS Math course. Not sure if natanong na dito. Thanks

@whoisluis the education part does not need to be assessed. All your friend should know is under which section his university falls under. He needs to check through Country Education Profile (CEP)which is created by the Australia’s Department of Education and Training. Assessing authorities do not decide on these things as all refer to the CEP.

Hi guys, just would like to seek your insights, since my current employer will layoff our department at the end of this year and would apparently be needing for another employer next year, given that I already have a positive assessment from ACS last year with my current employer being assessed and already knew the "met date", do I still need to apply for reassessment from ACS for submitting EOI since I'll be having a new employer starting next year? Would it affect the possibility of getting visa be approved in the long run?

Guys, quick question, pag nag pa notarize ka ba ng affidavit from your former supervisor/boss, need pa ba ng ID niya? or just the signature?

Hi Guys,

My ACS assessment result came out last week and they deducted 4 years from my 5 years working experience. I won't be getting any points kasi since 1 year lang ung ma crecredit sa akin kaya medyo big deal siya.

I emailed them to ask some clarifications regarding sa results and according to them:

"As your Bachelor degree was assessed as an ICT Major and Not being closely related to the nominated occupation, you were required to demonstrate 4 years of experience in any time period. The rule applied to an application will be the one that gives the applicant the earliest date of meeting ACS requirements."

I am a Computer Science and Information System graduate (from CEU) so basically combination siya ng Comp Sci and I.T. How come na hindi closely related ung course ko sa inapplyan ko which is Computer Systems and Network Engineer (263111) e may Cisco naman kami nun pero iba lang ung code sa TOR (Comelec aka Computer Elective 1 to 4).

Tingin niyo guys it make sense ba na eto ung gawin kong reason for appeal/review? Or any ideas para mapababa ko from 4 years to 2 years ung deduction sa akin?

Hello. Question lang, may specific requirements po ba pagdating sa paper size (letter, legal, A4)? Thank you. Iniisip ko kasi madalas ang gamit satin either letter or legal. Pero outside ang standard is A4.

@aronjaynavarro AFAIK, tingin ko nag based sila sa course syllabus nung univ mo. They usually do computation kung ilang percent related yung mga subjects na under course syllabus vs your nom. occ. just my 2 cents lang nman.

@patotoy I could get to 65 points naman though I know that isn't enough to secure an invitation for subclass 189. But I still have a chance for subclass 190 and 489 since I can reach 70 and 75 points respectively with the use of plus points (5 for subclass 190/ 10 for subclass 489).

yup correct. a lot of options kaya tuloy tuloy lang ang pagkamit ng AU dream. while doing that, nag-gagain ka naman ng experience eh so win win situation pa din.

Guys, question po, when submitting ACS application, maququalify ba kahit 2yrs course lang but almost 10yrs work experienced sa IT jobs? If yes, ilang yrs kaya ideduct ni ACS? Thank you sa sasagot.

Hello po, ask ko ln nagemail ACS sakin at nakalagay na not suitable sa nominated anzsco code (261111) tapos may mga recommendation na anzsco.

263211 (ICT Quality Assurance Engineer);

263212 (ICT Support Engineer);

263213 (ICT Systems Test Engineer);

263299 (ICT Support and Test Engineer NEC)

Ano po pinaka okay na anzsco code po jan? for190/489 po. thank you!

@von1xx I believe ikaw lang po makakasagot niyan. You have to check thoroughly each occupation list which has the most relevant sa work experience as well as course mo.

Question po ... hinihingan ako ng ACS ng statutory declaration for my current and previous employer. May format ba yun?

Sabi rin ng ACS, if I wont be able to provide they will just use the docs that I submitted. FYI, I submitted pala 2 coe from my employers stating salary and my roles and responsibilities. Magkaka effect kaya I hindi ako nagsubmit ng statutory declaration?
