    Toowomba is the biggest regional city only 2 hrs away from Brisbane. May mga 489 visa holders ako kilala don. I also started on a 489 visa sponsored by SA. Lived and work there for almost 4 years and moved to Qld a year ago. I still work in SA remote

    2019 Federal Budget Announcements:
    1) VACS to increase by 5.4% from July 2019 (excluding Visitor Subclass 600)
    2) Permanent visas reduced to 160,000 per year (over the next 4 years)
    3) RSMS (Subclass 187) and Regional (Subclass 489) to be discontinued
    4) New Regional visas to be introduced from November 1st 2019:
    5) The Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) and Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visas
    6) Extension of Temporary Graduate (Subclass 485) for regional graduates - an additional 12 month second post-study work visa for international graduates providing a total of three years. (previously announced)

    @bob88 kung may visa ka na, doesnt matter. Pero kung wala pa, at inabot na ng nov, aabutan ka na rin ng new rules.

    @MLBS Thanks sa response sir. To be clear, halimbawa na-invite ka na for 489. You have lodged na and submitted all requirements and paid for visa 489 fees and just waiting for CO contact/ Visa grant, but then inabot ka til November wala pa binibigay sayo, so anong rules mag-aapply since abolished na visa 489 by that time?
