Employment Experience

Good Day mga kababayan,

sanjuam

It's fine not to get any documents from them of you didn't include it in your years of experience. But even though hindi mo siya sinama sa pina assess mong experience, u still need to disclose it on your resume.

The assessing officer will not at all question that employment experience if you are not claiming it. They will only assess the work you’re claiming as relevant in your application. Neither would immigration dwell on that employment. Don’t worry too much.

As an agent I would still not rule this experience out especially if it’s a significant amount of time. You may be able to supply sufficient documents, all depends on what you are able to manage...best to seek professional help on this matter if you’re not sure how to go about it.

COE isn’t sufficient as this only confirms the employment. Employment reference is always required by any skills assessing authority and immigration department.

Maraming salamat po sa feedback ninyo.

    @RheaMARN1171933
aking exposure during my tenure back in 2011-12; Hindi ko rin po kasi nagagamit sa kasalukuyan.

    For me, kailangan ideclare.

    a) EA (assessment) dun sa Resume/ Curriculum Vitae
    b) Application sa Immi
    c) Form 80
    d) Form 1221 - Fill the gaps that you are unemployed (dito palang kailangan mo ideclare lahat)

They are accomodating po to process my COE, just waiting for an update when to release my COE. Thank you lord!

    Salamat,

I’ve mentioned a few times over the forum that COE isn’t what the skills assessing authorities and DHA is asking for. They require employment reference letters. There is a difference between the two. Feel free to google it. Hope that helps :)

    Salamat,
    -sanjuam

I guess kahit mahirap pakisamahan ang employer, dapat never burn bridges with them. Hindi natin alam kung kakailangan natin sila in the future.

I guess, pwede mo naman sila bisitahin personally para maayos yung differences mo between with the previious employer.

I’ve mentioned a few times over the forum that COE isn’t what the skills assessing authorities and DHA is asking for. They require employment reference letters. There is a difference between the two. Feel free to google it. Hope that helps :)

If mali, kindly disregard that experience sharing baka hindi makatulong kay @sanjuam ..Thanks

Not saying it was wrong, I was clarifying the use of term - COE vs employment reference letter. One needs to understand the difference.

sadly, totoo po to, napakahirap kumuha ng "detailed" employment reference letter sa pinas, binigay mo na format, meron pa din sariling format yung "HR" themselves, di ko alam kung gusto ba nila tayo tulungan, o crab mentality lang ng pinoy :( pwede din naman na di sila pwede sumuway sa utos ng higher ups kasi nga meron sila sariling format when it comes to giving employment reference letters (again, akala nila e COE to...), pero sana naman, they try to help out or kahit man lang explain yung circumstances di ba? :)

this happened with my 3rd employer, COE ang binigay ni HR (although, ipinasa ko sa kanila yung main roles and responsibilities ko, pirma lang need sa kanila), humingi na lang ako ng statutory declaration from my "colleague" na dun pa din nagwowork (pina-notarize pa nung colleague ko, buti kumare ko!), tapos sinamahan ko ng payslip (buti parati ako nag-screenshot ng payslip kasi web based sya, walang paper trail sadly), ayun tinanggap naman ng assessing authority ko which was ACS...

all the best po sa inyong pag-aapply, and wag susuko, just need to really pay attention to detail and make sure na yung format ng assessing authority ang susundin po natin para walang problema pag pinasa natin sa kanila...

Kung nag wowork ka sa corporate, better na may good relationship ka sa superiors mo, for employment reference, you can ask them to write one for you based on the template, usually may access naman sila sa official letterheads.

I believe it’s how things are done and dealt with with the employer. I don’t recall experiencing such difficulties with my clients from the Philippines. Regardless of the size of the companies.

Sharing my experience na lang din sa lahat kong work experience, i make sure na may naitago akong blank stationary with letterhead. ang ginawa ko nag draft ako ng employment reference addressing the requirement of Engineers Australia and Immigration para pumirma na lang sila.

some managers would read it and do some editing to make it better, some would simply read it and sign....

pag ready na yan at pipirma na lang sila mas madali na lang yan kesa ibigay mo sa kanila ang burden to draft your document which takes ages.

By the pinersonal ko sila para pumirma and same day naibalik nila sa akin...

Hi guys in reference to this thread. I have an employer na ayaw akong bigyan ng COE for some reason. And i really need those years of experience to be counted. Is there any way na pwedeng gawin? I can contact my manager from there as a reference for my roles and responsibilities but would that be enough? Thanks in advance.

PH employer ba yan? But as mentioned repeatedly in this whole forum, the standard PH COE is not enough for assessment.

Kung hindi letterhead, magiging Statutory Declaration na lang yan which you need to notarize then need ng supporting docs like contract and/or payslips.

Yes, a PH employer. Well actually hinaharang nila ako because of the bond ko daw na hindi ko natapos yung contract pero I rendered and resigned gracefully. So I have the legal obligation daw to pay daw which is very unreasonable and mahal for me. I emailed HR last time and sumagot sakin is yung legal team. Hindi sila explicitly nagsabi na they won't issue me COE but hindi ako binigyan.

Baka sakali may sumagot. May chance po ba ako magpa-assess (as a spouse)?
