Hello po, sa mga nag-expire na yung ACS at nagpa-assess ulit. Can we use lahat ng previous documents specially yung stat dec galing sa previous companies? medyo mahirap kasi humingi ulit nung mga previous eh. Thanks sa sasagot po.

Question please! I got my assessment results and ito yung nakasulat sa letters. Does this mean ang pwede kong iclaim for points ay work from May 12, 2020 only kahit assessed to be related yung previous years?

    Hi everyone,

I just got my ACS result and need advice on which pathway to pursue.

    Background:

6 yrs+ ICT experience (3 yrs in service desk/tech support, 3 yrs as ServiceNow consultant)

BS Computer Engineering (assessed as AQF Bachelor ICT)

ACS Outcome: Not suitable for BA (261111) and SA (261112). Suitable for QA Engineer (263211).

I originally aimed for 189 as BA/SA, but since I was only deemed suitable for QA, I’m now considering using QA Engineer for VIC 190 nomination. I have an aunt in Melbourne (Cobblebank), so VIC is my target.

    My dilemma:

BA/SA is more aligned with my career but is highly competitive and ACS didn’t accept me for now.

QA Engineer seems more realistic for migration since ACS already approved it.

Plan is to use QA as my migration pathway, then pivot back to ServiceNow consulting once I’m in AU.

    Questions:

Is it smarter to go for QA Engineer right away for VIC 190?

Or should I wait and try again for BA/SA later?

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from those who went through the same path 🙏

points to maybe consider, I'm 28 years of age, single and I’ve been unemployed since Jan 2025, so I’m torn about what job to pursue knowing it might affect my migration pathway.

I suggest to pursue the anzsco code positively assessed by ACS. Both 189 and 190 are PR visas, it's just that 189 is a more flexible than 190. All the more pursue 190 (vic) since you have a relative there. It's not guaranteed that you'll land a job on your current expertise when you're granted a visa. There are several factors and a bit of luck involved. What's important for now is to secure a PR visa, then take the next step thereafter.

Right now I’m preparing for the PTE exam to boost my points, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to take it yet. Any tips on how to know if I should already book the test, or better to keep practicing until I consistently hit the target score in mock exams?

Practice makes progress. Mock test and actual test day will be different in terms of environment and pressure. Tamang practice lang siguro, then take the exam within a week para fresh pa rin yung napractice mo.
