Hi all, I am a newbie here and this is my first time posting a topic.

you might want to verify their company first with DTI. investigate how long does the company exists, etc. careful po tayo sa mga ganitong agency.

@resty84: I doubt po ma-approve sa DIAC eh, if at all possible.

Firstly, the only way po kasi Australian companies can bring foreigners in is through a working visa, which is generally the 457 or business long-term. To be able to do that, the worker must be earning at least $60.000.

Second, they have to prove that they cannot get australian citizens or PRs already onshore, thus the need to hire foreigners. With this year's tightening of 457 visa, nag-police na kasi ang gobyerno nila sa mga companies. Hindi na basta-basta pumapayag ang gobyerno. If mapapansin niyo, mga specialised/subspecialised fields na yung pinapapasok. Ang rationale: if non-specialised field, makakahanap ng Australian to do the job, so why get somewhere else. Is the work you're going to be doing something specialised and in-demand in Australia? Something to look into po yan.

Third, hindi lahat ng australian companies allowed to bring foreign workers. May certain income bracket or earning power sila kailangan ipakita for a significant number of years, before they can nominate. Meron din minimum number of employees. Small companies, cannot.

Fourth, most headhunters do not charge anything. So hindi kayo dapat pinagbabayad kung totoo ngang may ganung position. Wala pa akong na-meet na headhunter nagpapabayad. In fact, kayo pa babayaran kung may ma-refer kayong kaibigan.

Last but not the least, ang usual nito, nasa SOL ang occupation dapat kasi. I don't have the SOL list, but you have to also look at SOL. This will be your guide whether you will get a shot of getting PR down the line. Also whether DIAC will likely approve you.

Eto suggestion ko, why don't you try sending an email directly to the company so you can verify personally kung totoo ngang may ganung position. If totoo nga, apply directly to the company, and don't bother with middle-men.

Ingat po kayo, wag basta magtiwala. Definitely verify. Goodluck po. :)

Red flag talaga. Unang-una, bakit ka magbabayad ng Php15,000?! For an assessment of what? I'm not familiar with manpower agencies or those pretending to be, pero kapag hinihingian ka ng pera para sa wala, magduda ka na.

I've read the story in the link above, its really sad. There are just people who uses their power to abuse others. In case of the Heron Assist victims, i hope that your dreams to bring your family to Australia, and have a better life will come true very soon.

Have an update po regarding this particular company who hired production workers for Australia.

This company apparently hired 32 Pinoys in Visayas and Mindanao as production workers to supposedly work in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane etc under 457 visa. They were made to pay anywhere from P15000 to 30000 each, depending whether they have dependents. They went through medicals and were "issued" visas, complete with letters and visa labels. They were promised $5,500 income a month.

Sir @TotoyOzresident, I'm not sure if you remember KimChuDouble, but she asked your opinion about this as well.

Parang walang konsensya .
