Need help: EOI Questions

Patulong po sa EOI. Newbie here.

1. Na-assess na po ako ng ACS as suitable for ICT Business Analyst, kaso at the time of their assessment, 4+ years pa lang po experience ko. Pero ngayon, ika-5th year ko na po. Alin po ang considered sa pagbilang ng points? iba po kasi points pag 4 years sa kapag 5 years experience na.

    2. IELTS - kung ano yung lowest score mo dun nila ibabased ang macclaim mong points. take note na ang requirement for 20pts is all bands should be at least 8. therefore kahit may 8, 9 ka na score since ang lowest mo is 7.5 = 10 points lang macclaim mo.

    3. pwede. take note na dpat pag 190 may state na magssponsor sayo. so, make sure may state na nagssponsor ng occupation mo.

hope my limited knowledge helps. :)

regarding your first question. merong clause sa ACS result na ganito: "The following employment after Month Year is considered to equate to work....". Kung ano yung date na naka indicate, example January 2010 yung date, so Feb 2010 magsisimula yung pagbilang ng work experience. So from this date (example Feb. 2010) up to when you submit your EOI, dun mabibilang yung work experience. That's what I understand. To other forumers, correct me if i'm wrong. :)

    Ganito ung sa akin:
The following employment after September 2011 is considered to equate to work at an appropriate skill level and relevant to Systems Analyst of the ANZSCO Code.

    Dates: 09/05 - 4/13 ( 7 years and 7 months)

ibig sabihin nyan 2 years pa lang ang work experience ko?

@habibi - i actually inquired from ACS about that date. they said that after the "indicated date" is when i can start claiming work experience for DIAC. so i just followed them to be safe. this is based on my experience only. :)

@loudandclear i inquired ACS din and DIAC daw ang magsasabi ng points. They only assess suitability. So sa EOI mo, bawas na yung work experience mo?

This is the response that I got from ACS:

All relevant qualifications and experience will be taken into consideration in the assessment to ascertain whether an applicant meets the requirements to be awarded a suitable outcome however only employment completed after the date you have met the ACS requirements will be counted as skilled employment - please see the Summary of Criteria for additional information.

After this date you may be able to claim points for your experience with the Department of Immigration – please contact them for further information.

yup, sa EOI ko... i only declared employment after the date mentioned by ACS. i just took the safe path. mas ok na mag underclaim kesa mag overclaim ng points. :)

I received another reply from ACS hoping for a more specific answer.

"In regards to your enquiry only employment completed after the date you have met the ACS requirements will be counted as skilled employment.

which means after this date you may be able to claim points for your experience with the Department of Immigration – please contact them for further information."

For me the message above removes my doubts. Guess we need to prepare hard for the IELTS to negate the points that we can no longer claim. :((

sir @habibi, have you submitted your EOI? Did you claim 15 points for work experience? I think it can still be changed at this point, as long as no invitation has been sent yet from DIAC.

Hello, I'm newbie here. Sobrang in dilemma talaga ako ngaun. Nakareceive na ko ng invitation from DIAC with a total points of 65. After reading many forums, I realized baka magkaproblem yun application ko Kung itutuloy ko.. Nagclaim ksi ako 15pts for work experience after ko ideclare na related lahat ng experience ko for the past 10yrs. Pero as per ACS, only "after Nov 2009 Is considered to equate to work..", which will only allow me to claim 5 pts and leaves me with 55pts na lang.

When filling up EOI, wala nman namention dun na yun assessing authority, yun Ang basis Kung yes or no ba Ang lalagay mo. With qualification, namention yun kaya I put diploma,

I hope someone can provide their honest opinion in my case. Ksing gulung gulp na tlaga ako. Wala pala akong agent.

    here's my TRA assesment result:
Your employment evidence meets TRA requirements of working as a Mechanical ENg'g Tech'n for a minimum of 3 years at trade level and meets the currency requirement....it is recommended that you contact DBIP (DIAC) to find out whether you may also need to seek points test advice from TRA.

I'm planning to claim 15points, since my related experience was already 13years...
    company A- March 2000- Sept 2006
    company B- Sept 2006--Oct 2007
    company C--Oct 2007--July 2010
    current company--July 2010---present
** my job responsibilities and scope of work were almost exactly the same althroughout these 4 companies, Equipment Technician/ Associate equipment Engineer...I do have legit evidences for all these employments...

is it safe to claim 15 points without having TRA points test advice? (AUD$600.00)
Do i need to contact DIAC? pls share the email address then...

Hi po. I just want to clarify points lang po sana.. please help me.. I had my skills and educations assessed by Vetassess. Hindi po ako nag apply ng point test advice with them kaya I believe 3 years of employment lang yung inassess nila, tama po ba? my education is equivalent to Australian bachelors degree and I have been working as a chemist for more than 5 years na. In this regard, can I claim 10 points po ba sa employment (At least five but less than eight years (of past 10 years) 10 points)? I have all my COE's and employment record of my work experience during the last 5 years with me po. Please help! Thanks in advance, guys!
