Hi,
I'm new to this forum. My family wants to migrate to Australia. But our problem is our age my wife's 45 and I'm 46. I am an BS Electrical Engineering graduate and unlicensed, my wife's a BS Education and Nursing graduate and she has licenses for both. I currently work as a Production Supervisor in a multinational company here in the Philippines for 10 years. My wife's is a full time faculty member in a public school here for over 10 years. She has no experience in the hospital as a Nurse but she is the resident nurse in their school. We have 3 children, 1 adult and 2 minors. We've already sent our CVs to Respall and they said that we have a chance. Now, Is there really a chance for us to migrate to Australia at our age? If so, can anyone offer advice on what I can do to improve our chances. I would love to hear from you if there is. Thanks!

Yup, meron nman po...I know yung former manager ko nag migrate dn cla dto this year lang. 45+ na sya. Kahit nman po d kayo makapag claim ng points sa age pwede nman kayo makakuha ng maximum pts based sa work experience. On his case nakakuha sya ng maximun pts dun at sa education since my MBA degree sya.

basta po maka 60pts kayo sa EOI, pwede po yan,

    to give you an estimate:

    age - 0 pts
work - 15pts (assuming more than 8 yrs)
educ - 15pts (assuming equivalent to an AU degree)
    IELTS - 10pts ( all 7.0 in each band)
partner skills - 5pts ( positive assessment of secondary applicant)
    Regional Sponsorship - 10pts
    -----------------
TOTAL 55 pts - kulang pa,

so dapat mataas ang score sa ielts..

    age - 0 pts
work - 15pts (assuming more than 8 yrs)
educ - 15pts (assuming equivalent to an AU degree)
    IELTS - 20pts (8.0 in each band)
partner skills - 5pts ( positive assessment of secondary applicant)
    State sponsorhip - 5 pts
    ------------------------
    TOTAL - 60pts

@Marlonlim25 same here, i'm 45 now. thats also my dilemma before. lahat ng angulo tinignan namin, assessment of skills and work experiences for both you and wife. pati si wife need din ng ielts if you want the partners point. on these lang more or less 100k na magastos nyo, wala pa yung pf ni respall. so for me to complete the missing numbers, i took student visa route. 5 points for australian education, 5 pts. local experience, and if you want to increase more your score, another 5 pts. professional year. not also that, if you can get an employer here that is willing to sponsor you then much better.

use the points calculator here in pinoyau, try all the possibilities.

and last thing, getting an 8 in each band is next to impossible (for me lang ha, just being realistic)
