Migration change means job pressure on young Australians

THE job prospects of young Australians are threatened by hundreds of thousands of foreign students given temporary visas under recent changes to migration laws.

More than 100,000 overseas students have switched to temporary visas, which give them full work rights.

Many more are expected to apply for the visas in a bid to stay longer in Australia.
