Can we use provident fund as a proof of funds?

Hi,
I am planning to study in Australia. Can I use my father's provident fund as a proof of funds? Please help me.

    Are these shares/Mutual Funds/Bonds? as far as I know shares/Mutual Funds/Bonds.....they will not be accepted as proof of funds.

    Are you pertaining to Singapore CPF? If yes, unless you are a Singapore PR (not citizen) and it is under your name then you cannot use it an evidence of funds.
