  • @ysabelle I see. Pareho ba sa Pinas na sangkatutak ang holidays per year? hahaha Which industry po ba yung work nyo?
  • @ysabelle Coolness. Thanks :)
  • @ChefMa So far po nasa MLTSSL pa yung Chef occupation, so it's a relatively good pathway in my opinion. If you plan to go that route, I suggest to start your studies soon para pagkagraduate mo makahabol pa for PR visa application. Marami din kasi pw…
  • @ysabelle Medyo OT question po, hehe. Do you mean casual jobs po? Even with the 20-hour/week limit kaya po tustusan ang tuition and living costs?
  • @JillCyCian If change of career po talaga, maybe it's better to study nalang and then nominate mo nalang po yung bagong occupation. But still, check mo po kung mas mataas ang makukuha mong points from your old occupation or from the new one. Yes, pw…
  • @Hendro this is for off-shore applications, right? Thanks for the info :)
  • @ChefMa Hi. The most popular occupations with pathways to PR are Accounting, Nursing, and Engineering/IT. As for career change, I think Cookery is a popular course. I've been to education fairs for Australia and there's always a culinary school tryi…
  • @JillCyCian So you've really decided to change careers, or gusto nyo lang po na yun ang pathway nyo to a permanent job?
  • @julypearl my course starts end of July, but planning to fly to Sydney mid-July.
  • @julypearl hahaha ibang klaseng waiting game nalang ang ipost mo... waiting to go to Australia nalang haha. When magstart classes mo ang when do you plan to go?
  • @ysabelle Hi, as per NT government's website, they require at least AUD 35k (for a single/individual applicant) as evidence of financial capacity, IF you are not NT resident or NT graduate.
  • I found this page that compares the tuition fees of universities in Australia. It does reflect similar findings from my personal research, but I'm not sure how updated it is: Lowest Tuition Fees for International Students
  • @Delsette 40 isn't *that* old. hmph. ang choosy nila ha. Anyway, target destination nyo is Melbourne lang ba? You can try looking into programs by Swinburne, RMIT, UniMelb, La Trobe, Monash, Deakin (now that I think of it, parang mas maraming uni an…
  • @MLBS It's better to inquire with your chosen institution regarding this matter. If you aren't required to include the proof of financial capacity by the Document Checklist, the school might.
  • @MLBS Hi, at this point they won't publish the risk ratings of either the education provider or country because certain schools could be targeted by non-genuine students if the risk ratings were published. You really have to use the Document Checkli…
  • @JillCyCian Hi. With a long work history, I think it might be better to try the skilled visa route first; student visa is expensive kahit vocational pa ang kukunin mo. With a relatively big family, mas mahihirapan ka na i-support ang family on your …
Na-excite tuloy akong gayahin kayong lahat at sumubok magmigrate hehehe. Research lang muna ako ng maigi habang naghihintay na maging eligible for the PR v…
  • @Delsette Max age limit? none that I know of. Which unis are those?
  • Anyone headed to Sydney to study this coming Semester 2? :D hehehe
  • @marialobsan If you're at the optimum age (25-32 years old), have at least Proficient English, positive skills assessment (PH degree assessed to at least AU Bachelor's degree equivalent), and state nomination (if your occupation is in the skill shor…
  • @marialobsan I wouldn't say na "mas madali" siya than applying directly to working visa, pero kung kulang or gusto mo madagdagan yung points mo, makakatulong yung Australian study sa skilled visa application (+5 points din kasi). Pero downside nga n…
  • @marialobsan Hi. If you're planning to apply for student visa, I don't think work experience is necessary for application (unless it's required for your program/course in AU). Yung "chance" of getting approved for a student really depends on how you…
  • @OZingwithOZomeness Thank you for the detailed explanation! I know the feeling din when it comes to waiting for visa grant (although student visa).
  • I'm curious about the same thing. Anyone?
  • @ChefMa I think what @batman means is that you can clearly explain why you want to study Cookery when your background is Accounting. The two are very different in terms of skills and knowledge required. If you can make a good case to explain the car…
  • hello po, kakarequest ko lang po to join the LinkedIn group :D
  • @mookiet2p you have to verify with the school if OBS (overall band score) lang yung 5.5 or for every skill. OBS is calculated to be the average of your scores in the four skills (it's possible to get 5.5 OBS with 4.5, 4.5, 6.5, 6.5 for LRWS).
Marami pong klase ng skilled visas, with the most popular being 189 (independent), 190 (state-sponsored), and 489 (provisional) visas. Comp…
  • @OZingwithOZomeness @ssendood ah oki, gets ko na. I would've thought na bakasyon din talaga sila pag pasko like sa Pinas, d rin pala hehe. btw, do you know how they define cases as "backlog?"
  • @ssendood thanks for the links. lagi ba may backlog during this time of year because of the Christmas holidays nila? just a theory hehe
  • So far puro 190 visa applications ang naggrant... mas mabilis pala talaga pag 190 than 189? I read something sa forum na higher priority ang 190 than 189; ibig sabihin po ba nun ipprocess muna ng mga CO yung 190 bago 189? And ano ang typical scenari…
  • @Graff I think hindi naman magiging problem yun, pero d ko alam kung kailangan maglodge ng bagong student visa application or kung paano ipapa-update yung eCoE mo sa visa application (after you've lodged it). If i were you, i'd rather go for July 20…
  • @Graff if you really intend to finish your work contract, it's better to apply for your student visa for July 2019 intake. Your student visa validity is based on your eCoE, so I'm not sure if you need to request DIBP to update your student visa vali…
  • @kaidenMVH iniisip ko sana i-claim yung 5 years, pero kung 4 years lng ang macclaim ko because of that one "rookie" year, sayang yung 5 points. i wonder kung pwede ko kaya ma-compensate yun by working part-time sa Australia while student visa?
  • @kaidenMVH ay hala, then hindi ako makakaclaim ng 5 years overseas work experience kung ibabawas nila yung 1 year :( sakto 5 years po kasi ang work experience ko (2 years sa pinas, then 3 years sa taiwan)
  • @mufasaa Hi, I'm referring to why you shifted from Nursing to English major. And do you mean your current choice of pursuing Nursing is because you will be sponsored? I'm asking about your reason why you shifted from Nursing to English because if yo…
