Hi @RheaMARN1171933 , advisable po ba na maglodge ng EOI kahit hindi pa open yung occupation ko for visa 190? I was told by my agent na hindi pa ako pwede magsubmit ng EOI since hindi pa open for my occupation. Thanks in advance.

Hi @RheaMARN1171933 newbie here! What are the requirements for this one? Thank you in advance!

You will need to check the states’s requirements but I’ve already mentioned on my post the minimum requirements to meet the eligibility. If you haven’t done your skills assessment and English then you can’t apply for it.

@RheaMARN1171933 Would you know what state is opening their state nomination for accountants offshore? Eyeing for SA but sadly, accountant is not available for offshore applicants though its in their priority list. Thank you.

@RheaMARN1171933 hi thanks for the response. May I know as well where can I start on the skills assessment? Yes I haven’t done it yet.
Then my PTE sked would be this month end.

Do you think the 8+ years of experience will be reduced? Parang ang laki masyado?

You have to understand, offshore is still not a priority. This is a very much welcome development from SA with regards to offshore applicants. They are still very selective but this would probably a start of more positive developments in the future. Just make sure you are document ready so you are prepared anytime when opportunity opens up.

For perspective, I got state sponsorship from SA in 2018. At that time their specific requirement for my occupation was a minimum of 90 points. So an offshore applicant would really need substantial work experience to meet that requirement.
The main difference now is that they are requiring substantial work experience from all offshore applicants. But that will also benefit the applicant once they are here and applying for jobs, competing with locally educated applicants and other immigrants who might have work experience in multiple countries.

To be honest I could only just assume that these restrictions are more related to covid restrictions more than anything else.

Hi Ma'am @RheaMARN1171933, I have 8+ years of experience now (looking forward to submitting ROI), but only 6 years of skilled employment was affixed on my EA assessment letter because I was only in my 6th year of employment at the time I submitted the CDR+RSE application. Nevertheless, I am still performing the same duties (as of writing) with the same employer as assessed previously and still working as a full-time regular employee with the same job title/position as assessed previously. With this case, can I still claim a total of 8+ years of work experience even if it is not explicitly stated on my assessment outcome letter?
