Non-CPA with accounting background

Hello po. I have a background of accounts payable payments processing and customer service assistance with minimum call experience and mostly handling service now tickets for finance concerns. I was not able to take CPA board exam. My husband has a background for reports analyst and warehouse management with direct report to owner. Would it be possible na makapapag apply kami sa AU using our current job titles or do we need to shift jobs? What would be the beat thing to do or where can we find any help to apply? I do have relatives in AU but we do not know how to start the application.

If you're applying for skilled migration, identify first your eligible occupation in the skilled occupation list: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list

The important thing is to look for the occupation that closely matches your job DUTIES, not your job TITLE. Makikita mo rin dyan yung visas na pwedeng applyan for each occupation.

I'm not familiar with the accountancy route, so I hope other accountants can weigh in. This thread might be helpful as well: https://pinoyau.info/discussion/97/accountant

If you have done a degree in accounting from a section 1 institution, there is no need to be a cpa. From how you described, I don’t think your experience will fall under skilled work experience but that’s ok. You can still get a positive outcome without work experience as long as your qualification was obtained from any institution described above. All the best
