Hello, I received a pre-invitation from South Australia based on 80 points, and today I submitted my state nomination application. However, I recently realized that I mistakenly claimed 5 extra points due to a misunderstanding about my degree. In my home country, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is considered a doctoral qualification, so I initially claimed 20 points. However, I have now become aware that in Australia, it may be classified as a master’s degree, making it eligible for only 15 points.
This confusion arose because I completed a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), which is regarded as a PhD-level qualification in India. Additionally, the Australian immigration website does not provide an exact comparison for this qualification, which led to the misunderstanding. As a result, I unintentionally overclaimed 5 points in my EOI.
Can anyone please suggest what I should do?
