Received Invitation to Apply

Hi Everyone! It's been a while... just when I was about to give up on immigrating to Australia... My hubby received an email from DIAC... they've lowered the score to 60 from 65 and now, we are eligible to apply... I have several questions though and I hope someone can help me:

1. I didn't realize a lot has changed with the immigration fee since 2012... Is there really an add-on fee for dependents?

2. I'm confused why DIAC sent us an Invitation to Apply since my hubby's skill assessment with ACS is already more than 2 years... Do you think this is a technical error? Or should we proceed with the application

3. If the fees did change, you think it's a good idea not to include our kids (3 girls) in the application so as not to solicit additional charges at this time and then make a petition or something in the future after we have worked and saved enough?

While I got really excited when I saw the letter from DIAC, I got discouraged when I reviewed the fees. I could use some enlightenment. Please help. Thanks.

3. Yes include them if you can or if its possible, i can relate because we are going to advice my bro in law that he apply first then maybe after he is stable then file another one for dependent, but my bro in law have a different situation

2. Does that mean there is no need to take another Skill Assessment?
3. Will it complicate things if we don't include our children? Our main problem right now is not enough finances as this was not really expected. We did save up for the old fees but since giving up last 2012... I never checked back on DIAC.... not until yesterday when we received the invitation

sa pagkakaalam ko it was 60 ever since nagstart ang skillselect. mysterious yung invitation mo, like what you said expired pa yung skills assesment mo

Also, nag file ka ba ng EOI? EOI dapat ang nag send ng invite to apply.
Which assessing body did the skills assessment? Yung sa akin, nag expire cya so I asked vetassess to reissue, and they did.

Just curious what's the role of a case officer & when do I expect him to become an integral part of my application?

@IslanderndCity, depende ata. Pag kulang ka pa sa docs, sasabihan ka ng case officer. Yung iba, wala na case officer, nabibigyan na lang. Same ata with visa application. Kung may kulang, you will hear from a case officer. Kung wala na, yung iba, they will be given the visa directly.

@IslanderndCity, magkakaron ka ng CO once you lodged your visa application. Yung iba (kagaya ko) though direct visa grant ako at di na nagemail sakin ang CO, hindi ibig sabihin nito wala na talaga ako CO, otherwise hindi mapprocess ang application ko kung wala naghhandle na Case Officer. May mga cases na nagpaparamdam ang CO, minsan naman hindi lalo na kung wala naman silang kailangan pa saiyo. Sa case mo, since hindi ka pa naman naglodge ng visa application, talagang wala pa rin magpaparamdam na case officer sayo.

1. All docs must be CTC? O pwede iyong original doc i-color scan lang?
2. Passport-sized photo also needs CTC? (Weird)
3. IELTS result form needs CTC? O TRN # lang need nila?
4. EA positive skills assessment letter needs to CTC? or iyong case ID lang need?
5. Payslip sa current employer needs to be the latest one (March 2014 payslip)? Or pwede na iyong last October 2013 I used sa skills assessment kasi naka-CTC na? Para maka-save few dollar$. Hehe

I'd like to clarify po if the following requirements for visa can't be done if wala pa po akong invitation ma-receive? I'm planning kasi to prepare ahead
1. police clearance
2. medical certification
3. NBI clearance

for 1. and 3, kung philippines lang na NBI.. even without visa invitation
pero for some countries.. kailangan ang visa invitation to apply..

for 2, you need to lodge your visa application first, because it will generate something for your medical reference number..
