    Hay naiinggit ako sa mga scores nyo sa reading and speaking. Just got my score pasado naman but unfortunately did not get my target band. Grateful na rin at nairaos din ang ielts na to.

    Speaking
    Aralin lahat ng mga tanong sa Cambridge... marami dyan umuulit or iniiba lang ng konti..
    lagi natatanong saken famous person na hinahangan ko at bakit... sagot ko si Pacquiao typical rags to riches story bla bla bla hehehe...
    ito naman natanong ng 2 times saken, anong sports gusto mo? mas active ba sa sports ang babae o lalake? describe a sports na pinanood mo at kung san mo pinanood...
    syempre sagot ko ulit boxing(pacman) at nanood sa internet ng free streaming hehehe...

    Writing
    1. discuss pros and cons, adv and disadv etc.... and what is your opinion?

    2. two part question? sample..
    What is the effect of global warming to our environment?
    What can we do about it.
    Pede dito gamitin ang format na 37773 pero instead na pros and cons ang discuss mo, discuss mo yung 1st question then yung 2nd question
    3. Do you agree or disagree? Give relevant examples.
    Dito mamimili ka kung totally agree ka or totally disagree ka, may format din ang writefix.com dito, 3553 ata, nde ko na maalala hehehe...

    Isa pa sa ginawa ko para maimprove writing ko, nag-aral ako ng grammar for 1 month... balik grade 1 ako hehehe... madalas hindi natin alam kung kelan gamitin ang tamang preposition like at on in...inaral ko ulit yun hehehe...

    sa cohesion naman, punta kayo dito http://www.dcielts.com/... laking tulong nito para saken..
    dito ko nalaman ang tamang diskarte sa cohesion... not enough ang furthermore, Therefore etc... para maging coherent ang essay mo... at minsan kinaiinisan pa daw to ng nagchecheck ng paper mo, kaya binawasan ko ng konti ang pagamit nito :)

    Listening
    ito ang pinakamadali, pede mo maperfect to(pero nde ko magawa hehehe)... practice lang kelangan dito...at least once a day magpractice ng listening at makukuha mo ang tamang diskarte... sa map lagyan ng east west north south... sa tabular data, kelangan same format ang sagot mo sa ibang given data... mahirap idiscuss sa forum, maganda kung in person ang turo dito hehehe...

    Reading
    dito ako hirap na hirap dati, first 2 attempts ko dito bagsak ako, 6 then 6.5 respectively...
    so ang ginawa ko, sinagutan ko lahat ng cambridge reviewer, kahit GT ako, pati ACAD sinagutan ko... nakatulong din kasi mas mahirap ang mga tanong sa ACAD... tapos ang technique na ginawa ko, nagsagot ako pero walang time limit, i tried to answer the reviewer na makaperfect sa reading w/o time limit... so this way... nalaman ko mga tamang diskarte sa pagsagot... dun ko nalaman na good technique yung pagbilog ng sagot at paglagay ng number sa sagot... then after na makuha ko na yung technique, dun nako nagsagot ng may time limit...
    sa GT reading, pag last 20 mins na, dapat nasa last article ka na, or else kukulangin ka na sa oras, yun ang palatandaan ko...
    unahin din basahin ang tanong bago basahin ang article... habang binabasa ang tanong, encircle the keywords, para pag nabasa mo sa article, may hint ka na andun lang ang sagot.

    oooopppssss... ang haba na pala.. yan po ang mashare ko na experience ko sa nightmare ng buhay ko, ang IELTS hehehehe :D

    ok naman po grade nyo... basta above 7 lahat ok na :)
    although I am aiming for above 8 on all my bands pero mukhang mahirap talaga lalo na sa kagaya ko na pinabayaan ang subject na english nung nag-aaral pa lamang hehehehe :)

    Kakakuha ko lang ng result ko, waah! May bagsak! writing ko 6 lang.huhu. L-7.5 R-8.5 S-7.0. Inatake ako ng nerbyos pagdating sa writing, after 15 minutes pa ako nakapagstart magsulat. As in gulung gulo pa, i tried answering task 1, then after a minute, lipat naman sa task2. grabe! kalungkot. natapos ko naman pero di ko nareview if may grammatical errors and di ata umabot ng 250 task2 ko.

    Question nga pala sa mga nakakuha sa Speaking/Writing ng at least 8 na score, gumamit ba kayo ng big words or gumamit kayo ng complex sentence structures?

    Nagc-compile na rin ako ng docs for my skills assessment habang nagr-review ako para walang sayang na oras (malas lang pumalpak ako sa writing). After ng IELTS ko, saka ako nagpanotarize ng docs and nagsubmit sa ACS, sana positive result.

    Nung review, hindi ako masyadong nagfocus sa listening. 2 days before lang ako magexam e nagtry ako uli ng 2 exercises, pasado naman kaya confident na talaga ako dun. Nagtali ako ng hair para walang nakaharang sa tenga ko :))

    I practiced answering ACAD reading exercises and focused on Yes/no/not given and matching headings. 1 day before ng exam ako nagtry magsagot ng GT reading exercises, mas madalian na ako.

    Sa speaking naman, sariling sikap, nagsasalita sa salamin, haha. Foreigner yung naginterview saken, dinaldal pa nga ako before magrecord and relaxed pa ako nun. Nung nagsimula na ng recording, may instances na pinipilit ko lang sarili kong magsalita ng magsalita para di na sya magtanong (kabado na naman kase grr!). parang napapaikot ko lang ibang sagot ko, wrong move :P

    Hindi ko pa alam kung kelan ako magt-take uli pero gusto kong pataasin pa yung speaking and listening ko pero priority pa rin yung writing.

    aaminin ko nahirapan din ako sa last part ng listening, naiwan din ako dito...
    practice lang po ang kelangan... at habang practice, aim for perfect or 1 mistake score...
    it really helps in my experience kasi you aim for excellence :)
    yun lang hindi ko rin naperfect listening ko weehhehehehe...

    1 word: Focus

    I don't believe na hindi kaya ng mga noyps i-ace ang listening kasi kahit kanto boy nakakaintindi ng english yan hahaha! ang problema lang sakin, I've slowly lost my ability to focus when I got out of school kasi sa real world scenario, kelangan mag-multi-task...

    So Im thinking thats probably the case for most of us na medyo kulang lang sa focus, baka habang nageexam e biglang lilipad ang utak kung ano yung mga naiwan na task sa office, kung anong lunch for the day, ganun... and ang mahirap sa listening, domino effect yan pag may namintis kang 1 item since mawawala ka na rin ang bearing mo kung nasan na yung recording vs sa question booklet...

    So yun, 45 minutes of pure focus is all you need...

    saka nga pala, try to anticipate and think ahead para hindi ka masurprise kung binigay na pala yung sagot... Kumbaga, habang nagsasalita yung recording, dapat may idea ka kung ano ung hinahanap mong keyword na sasabihin nya... (labo ko ba? hahaha)

    At yun, praktis praktis praktis... After mo magmock test, kelangan ianalyze mo kung san ka nagkamali kasi who knows, tama pala sagot mo mali lang format.. strict ang ielts sa format (like date formatting, abbrevitions whatnot) so dapat alam mo kung pano isulat ng tama ang sagot... Di natin alam baka kung sampu yung mali mo, 8 doon dahil mali yung format ng sagot, pero tama naman dapat...

    @itchan agree ako sa sinabi mo. FOCUS talaga kelangan sa ielts. I think naoverlook din na we should try get as much rest before the exam because it will greatly affect your concentration. In my case for example Im on rotational shifting support role so challenge sa akin ang gumising ng maaga. After the exam i knew that i will not get my target band but somewhat confident that i could get atleast 7 sa lahat. I was even ready to book another schedule just to get the band i want. But decided instead I should just go for state sponsorship to get the extra points instead of wasting time and money on ielts.

    I also observed that my score depends on my mood since i tried all 9 camberidge exams at on average i can get all 8 depende na lang pag kulang talaga sa focus. That was what happened to me during the day of the exam.

    Sa writing yun talaga kelangan paghandaan. I suggest make sure you follow the structure depending on the type of essay given. Sa reviewer na nadownload ko there are 3 types of essays- argument, hidden at situation but the structure are almost similar. Most common yung argument type of essay so dapat may intro, discussion ng side you dont agree, side you agree, then conclusion reiterating the points sa side that you agree.

    sa mga nag struggle sa writing gaya ko, you can download whitesmoke software...(available sa suking torrent :) )
    It is a software which checks your grammar... laking tulong to saken kasi wala naman magchecheck ng grammar ko... works well on windows 7, ewan ko lang kung working sa windows xp...

    Hi! Sa Jan 7 na ang IELTS Exam (GT) ko at sobrang kinakabahan na'ko hehe. Sa mga nakapag IELTS na, pakisagot naman po ang mga tanong ko below para may idea ako what to expect sa exam. hehe. Thank you! =)

    1. Writing- sabay bang ibibigay ang Task 1 at Task 2 tapos may 1 hour ka para tapusin un pareho or task 1 muna then after 20 min, task 2 naman ibibigay?

    2. Listening- naka headset ba? hehe. or may speaker lang tas sabay sabay kau magsasagot ng ibang examinees?

    3. Reading- sabay sabay ba ibibigay lahat ng reading tasks tas bahala ka na pagkasyahin ung total time or isa isa lng? may extra time alloted ba para magtransfer ng answers tulad ng sa listening? hehe

    Lastly, may dress code ba na required, i.e. formal,semi-formal, etc. Baka kasi hindi ako papasukin, pagkamalan akong pulubi, haha! Thank you guys!

    1. yup parehong ibigay yung question for task 1 and 2 so you can budget your time. don't spend too much on the letter as most of the grades will be on the essay.

    2. i think lahat ng testing center speaker lang, so dapat talaga practice ka using your speaker para masanay mo sarili mo sa mga distractions as well, say, ubo ng ubo na kasabay sa exam, hehe

    3. yes, its up to you to budget your time sa reading. make a map sa mga articles, bilugan mo yung mga main ideas or keywords sa article if necessary para madali lang hanapin yung answer. there are a lot of tips sa reading which you can apply to pass it..

    4 walang dress code pero better bring a jacket just in case malamig sa testing room nyo. bawal mag-may-i-go-out during the exam, there are certain periods lang na pede tapos samahan pa ng usher. so ilabas mo na lahat bago magstart ng exam, hehe.

    1. Dun ba sa task 1 ng writing, letter lang un? I mean, hindi na kasama ung mga interpretations ng graphs/tables pag GT lng ung exam at hindi naman Academic?

    2. Naku, sana medyo malakas naman ung speaker, may pagka bingi pa nmn ako minsan hehe

    3. Ah pwede naman palang sulatan ung mga articles? Un kasi balak ko kaya lang baka kako bawal eh. hehe

    4. Cge, magdadala ko ng jacket hehe. Naku, dapat pala light meal lang ang kainin before the exam hehe.

    sa mga nag struggle sa writing gaya ko, you can download whitesmoke software...(available sa suking torrent :) )
    It is a software which checks your grammar... laking tulong to saken kasi wala naman magchecheck ng grammar ko... works well on windows 7, ewan ko lang kung working sa windows xp..

    baka po trojan or virus ang nadownload nyo mam... kelangan po scrutinize nyo mabuti yung download nyo, check comments or feedback kung legit sya... hindi ko alam kung pede magpost dito ng jack sparrow na software... baka maban ako :)

    search nyo na lang po sa reliable suking torrent site... pero legit po yang whitesmoke... yung mga sample essay na nadownload ko, tinetest ko dyan ang taas ng score, tapos pag essay ko na ang baba na nyahahahha... so I know the software works :)

    Idagdag ko lang sa mga tips..malaking bagay yung may digital watch kayong dala na may stop watch...importante rin kasing namamanage mo yung oras mo lalo na sa reading at writing.

    Mas mainam na mabilis ninyo matapos yung exam para may oras kayo ireview mga sagot niyo :)

    Hi to all! Who took the IELTS today, Dec. 17? At last naka-take na rin ng IELTS today! In fairness and dali ng writing part, yun nga lang sana makapasa hehehe....as soon as I receive the result then I can decide whether to pursue a visa or not. My IELTS results will be my sign from above. ^:)^
