Opinion & Advice in what college and pathway

katie28katie28 MandaluyongPosts: 1Member
I'm 21 & a fresh graduate of a 4-year course here in Philippines (BSBA in Marketing Mgt). I'm planning to study in Australia (Sydney or Melbourne) for one year or two (In a College). So I have few questions and hoping to hear your answers and opinion regarding the matter:

1) What course will be best and can offer a good job opportunity after school

2) Best College to enroll ( I got a overall band score 7.0 (in IELTS) 8.5-6.0-7.0-7.0 (each band score)

3) Is it possible for me to get a job while studying (part-time) & after school?

I have a cousin that will help me adjust, but my parents will be the one to sponsor my studies. I really want to study overseas to explore their cultures & etc, so after college I would want to work and then have another degree or master in universities as it will qualify me to a better job. Any insight about this? Will it be hard for me to get a job since I'm a fresh grad?

Thank you! ☺️

@katie28 congrats on having finished bsba!!

1.I suggest u narrow it to a field or job that's related to your current field and preferrably something you like doing.. Haha

You could do a management course I guess.. Pero you need to bear in mind that higher educ here is quite diff from ours at the moment coz k-12 isn't implemented yet.. Here voc courses (cert 3 & 4) at TAFE or college are quite big.. That's like nc3 Nc4 in the phils.. Some of the most amazing people you'll meet have skills n voc certs.. Now for colleges the highest you can get is assoc diploma..

So, university is quite diff.. All of the 2-5 yr bachelor, masters and doctor degrees are there.. And it will be much more costly..

I'm not immersed in your field.. But I probably want to ask whether your course is credited here.. So you can apply some of the things you learned here..

    2. I suggest you research more.. I learned much from backreading and searching the net.. You can probably attend free seminars from agents.. When you get to school websites you can pretty much see what their ielts requirements are.. I guess a 6 would do.. Universities will probably start at all 6.5.

    3. School is not 5 days a week.. So you got lots of opportunities provided that your visa allows you. Just don't be picky..

    Hope that helps..
