Engineering & IT Instructor for 6 years then 8 years in IT industry

Good day po sa inyong lahat,

Just hoping that somebody from this forum can help me with regards to my queries.

Background: 6 years as ECE/IT Instructor (Teaching ECE courses and Cisco Classes)
8 years in IT Industry

My current background is Network/Voice/Security. The nearest Job code based sa industry experience ko will be 263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer.

May question lang po ako with regards sa ACS applications ko. Is it necessary ba to declare pa rin yung previous 6 years of teaching experience ko.

Not sure po if may naka encounter na nito. Appreciate your inputs. Salamat po.

I am not that familiar with ACS but for Engineers Australia, we usually just declare everything so if they consider it as closely related then it will be an advantage. If you have nothing to lose by declaring it then I guess there's no harm in putting it.

Just to share and document my current journey as of this moment on our family plans to move from Singapore to Australia.

Below are my timelines for this journey:

    Year Month Activity
    2015 January Requirements Gathering
2015 February Requirements Gathering / IELTS Review
2015 March Requirements Gathering / IELTS Review
2015 April ACS Applications / IELTS Review
    2015 May IELTS Review
2015 June IELTS Exam & EOI Applications
    2015 July Expected EOI Approval
    2015 August " 1. Visa 189 Applications
    2. Uploading of documents
    3. Medical examinations
    4. NBI Clearance & Police Clearance "
2015 September Forecast of Visa Approval
    2015 October - service
    2015 November - service
    2015 December - service
2016 January Tentative plan to migrate to AU

Requirement gathering is the most tedious part aside from IELTS preparations.
I have completed gathering all the requirements only during the first week of April and have all the documents CTCed. I have a total of 8 years and 2 months experience after ACS deducted 4 years on my total working experience. Attached are total years assessed by ACS.

Unfortunately, my work experience with NCS was not considered as my former manager did not agree for statutory declaration so I ended up using same ACS format without company letterheads. I have included my manager name card (but was not able to include his company ID) but still this was not recognized by ACS.

Attached as well are the list of complete documents that I have submitted to ACS.

    Highlights of our journey:

    January 2015 to April 2015 - requirements gathering ( Philippines & Singapore )
    06 April 2015 - CTCed all the documents ( http://www.lbllaw.com.sg/AboutUs.htm)
09 April 2015 - Launch my ACS applications for Computer Network and System Engineer.
15 April 2015 - ACS results were received.

Currently working and preparing for my IELTS examinations.

    just my opinion.. ;)

I'm not taking IELTS po but PTE Academic. Looking forward atleast 65 minimum siguro sa total points.

Just praying and preparing hard for this English test. Saka depende siguro sa nomination yung pag grant ng invitations. Not sure po about it but it's just a forecast anyway. We're not rushing to move to AU this year.
