Purpose:
- Translate and align technical, business and operational requirements of systems, applications, services etc into technical and / or functional specifications, ensuring the overall capability / viability of a specific product(s) is achievable.
- Ensure the integration of the requirements match those of interacting systems, applications and services both inside and outside -in the wider airline community.
- Participate in full lifecycle of multiple small to medium projects ensuring the solution/s developed are able to sustain the projects' functional and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in user workshops to validate customer requirements, confirm and negotiate technical specifications upon activation of a project, verifying adherence to requirements in delivered solutions.
- Document change requests; either from specific application enhancements or functionality requirements of the user community.
- Document technical change requests ensuring all system changes follow agreed policy and comply with audit requirements.
Work with cross-functional teams to design extensions to the existing applications.
- Draft technical documentation that supports the products as defined in the requirements.
- Assist in the testing process, reviewing test cases against documented requirements and ensuring critical requirements are adequately tested.
- Ensure all risks and issues that affect the project are raised following set processes and are actioned appropriately. Escalate risks and issues that pose a significant impact to deliverables.
- Support implementation of specific application/s in each specific country / region if required.
Education & Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar
Where applicable a recognised professional qualification is desirable.
Experience:
- At least 5 years experience in a business analyst role, including experience with multiple full lifecycle system implementations.
Knowledge & Skills:
- The ability to be the lead technical role on complex projects (size or scope) overseeing requirement analysis through implementation and/or support
- Understands the customer's business objectives for assigned projects
- Knowledge of standard industry requirements tools and methodologies, including UML and Agile techniques.
- High-level designs for small to medium systems/applications with input from more experienced staff
- Understanding of standard industry methodologies and practices
