Hi @jan_ish! Basically, here are the steps in a Visa 189 track:
STEP 1:
Score at least 60 points in the points test to be eligible to be invited to apply for a points-based visa.

STEP 2:
Book and take the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic Version with at least a score of 7.0 in Reading and Writing and a score of 8.0 in Speaking and Listening. Take note that the results will be available 13 calendar days after the test.

STEP 3:
Lodge hardcopy of notarized documents for teacher skills assessment to AITSL (Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership). Assessment time can take up to 10 weeks from the date you receive an initial notification email confirming receipt of your application and payment.

STEP 4:
Fill in details and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) online application through the SkillSelect website. Invitation rounds will be held twice monthly.

STEP 5:
After receiving your invitation to apply (ITA) from SkillSelect, lodge your application for Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189).
