Notice about the ACT Occupation List - 2 July 2014

Applicants are advised that the ACT Occupation List published in February 2014 (below) is the current list for ACT nomination. It is to be used to determine your eligibility for ACT nomination along with the nomination criteria outlined in the 190 Guidelines. The demand for occupations in the ACT will be reviewed in August 2014, and an updated list will be published here. We are unable to provide information about which occupations will be open, limited or closed in the updated list until the analysis of demand is undertaken and the list is published.

Hope your sister's job opens again.

mga kabayan sa ACT -Canberra may mga tips ba kayo bago dumating dyan? sang area dapat maghanap ng tirahan? ano ano dapat dalhin sa March for first entry? May mga alam ba kayo na opening sa Architectural or interior design na field? at kagaya ng tanong ni @thegreatliam15 about sa bikes worth it ba dalhin ko bike ko dyan or bili na lng ako pag dating dyan? thanks,

@doon Will be in ACT roughly the same time as you. For initial entry, any state will do. As for the requirements for intial entry, probably just your visa grant?

very bike friendly ang roads ng canberra and may mga footpaths pa na well design so mag eenjoy ka sa pag bike d2....I know may group din ang mga pinoy mountain bikers d2 sa canberra, the're always into mountain biking kc maganda ung mga trails sa bundok...ung friend ko he bikes going to work, most offices here meron shower room pra pede mag quick bath..and pede mo rin isakay ang bike mo sa bus, if you dont like to bike going home..i can introduce you to him pagdating mo d2 if you want to join their group..

salamats papi, siguro city biking lang ako di pa kasi ako marunung magdrive nang sasakyan kaya ko naitanong, if ever magaaral ako pag sakaling papunta na ako tas driving license sa ngayon bike gusto ko una maganda sa katawan sunod tipid sa pamasahe saka mas enjoy kaya.

As carboy said visa grant lang nmn ang need mo dalhin sa initial entry..family ba kayo?..if family, mas marami ka need I prepare like child’s immunisation book / records..etc..about location, depende kung ano mga priorities mo if gusto mo mlapit sa school or hospital / city..but generally ok nmn tumira anywhere here in Canberra..Woden district kmi w/c is near to Canberra Hospital and malapit din sa city..try to do some research about the districts and suburbs in canberra para may idea ka..
Arki ka rin pala..may mga nakikita ako na job openings for arki, mas prefer nila ung may revit experience..just pm me if may ask ka about it.

yap mag-aral ka mag drive before ka pumunta d2, pra pag may current driver's licence ka, pag nag apply ka d2,full licence na ibibigay sayo not 'P' (provisional), tho need mo pa mag exam..and mahal mag aral ng driving d2

Hoping po na me makabasa nitong query ko, meron po ba dito na naging successful sa application nila even if nka "limited status" ung nom occupation sa ACT, specifically po sa architectural draftsperson? Pashare namn po sana ng story/experience nila for inspirations sa mag uumpisa pa lang.

@mjersey, kunin mo muna assessment and then check the states again. Nagbabago bago yan madalas e.

Sa ngayon, don't worry about it.
But yes, marami ring nakakakuha ng state nomination kahit limited.

@bookworm thank u po sa response, ganun na nga po siguro ung path namin. Start muna with skills assessment so that we will know where we stand. Towards ACT po kasi iyong plano namin kaya nga lang limited yung nominated occupation namin. Sana po e mag open sila for us by August 2014.

Hello po sa lahat! Newbie lang din po ako dito but before becoming a member e I already found this website very useful & informative esp to aspirants like us.
Hoping po na me makabasa nitong query ko, meron po ba dito na naging successful sa application nila even if nka "limited status" ung nom occupation sa ACT, specifically po sa architectural draftsperson? Pashare namn po sana ng story/experience nila for inspirations sa mag uumpisa pa lang.

See my timeline kapatid...asa limited occupation ung job ko and almost closed na nung nagsubmit ako ng job ad verification and 2-days closed na nung magsubmit ako for SS sa ACT then pero may buffer sila na one week. nag inquire ako about it, they would advice naman.

took me about 4 more months bago lumabas ung result, hinintay ata nila ung 1 Jul para sa mga changes sa policy ng DIBP. Ung CO ask me to submit another 2-3 job ads by God's grace naman is nakahanap naman akong 3. And after 2 weeks, nakatangap na ako ng nomination from DIBP sponsored by ACT.

Currently di ko pa naman masabi na successful na ung buong application process pero almost there na, just need to clear ung last hurdle so I can say na almost 75% na. I would look at it as 4 stage sa case ko.

1. Skills Assessment - done
2. IELTS - done
3. State Nomination - done
4. DIBP VISA grant - di na ako sa stage na to

Keep on praying lang and be on a lookout sa mga updates. Check mo din ung ibang state baka nag-open na din sila. Ung sa akin as ICT Trainer sa ACT lang then currently closed na pero nag-open sa South Australia right now and medyo malaki ung need sa SA pero naging ok na ACT kaya diretso na ng ACT.

Question po bka may naka experience n neto before. Umm currently kc closed padin yung occupation ng sister ko sa act. Ang sabi dun if may close family ties ka n resident ng canberra pwede ka mag apply kht close. Wala naman minimum no of yrs of residency diba?ano usually yung proof n pinapasa pag ganun?

i think nakalagay ata sa guideline nila kung ano ung need kahit closed na ung occupation pero may relative. same pa din ata na kailangang mag submit ng 5-8 job ads. at least ngayon mas clear na kasi 6 weeks before ka magpa-verify.

ung sa minimum number of years naman as long as walang nakalagay eh ok na siguro un kasi kung PR status naman ung kapatid mo then they have the right to sponsor...kung gusto mo makasigurado, email mo lang sila, they would reply naman...

sad to hear that hintay na lang ulit and just to continue to pray for it...just to share that I've waited for almost 6 years before magkaroon ng result ung apps ko and si @bookworm ata is 8 years so don't loose hope...just continue to pray...

@thegreatiam15, intay ka na lang ulit. Baka mag open ang ibang state

@heyits7me_mags, kung ICT jobs, better try elsewhere. Mahihirapan kayong makakuha ng trabaho sa Canberra kasi kailangan halos ng security clearance (for citizens only). Ako, I anticipate that I will have a hard time kaya nag iisip na ako ng ibang job na papasukan, basta andun na ako.
