IELTS Computer Based Test

Hello po mga kababayan!

Itatanong ko lang po sana, lalo na sa mga nakapag test ng IELTS via Computer Based test,

Para po sa Listening Section:

• pinapayagan po ba ang papel at panulat?

• habang nag play ang recording nakikita niyo pa po ba ang tanong? O ipapakita muna ang tanong tapos mawawala na, tsaka mag play ang recording?

Hi Sanjuam! I took computer-based last August and shared my experience thru this vlog. Baka makatulong.

Nice computer based na pala sila. masayadong controversial kasi si IELTS dati. and since walang option long time back. napaka bias "sometimes" based on my friend who took it 10yrs back, especially kung ung assessor is racist, good luck daw. It's good that they came up with a computer based test na rin.

Computer-delivered lang po sila but the Speaking exam will still be marked by 2 human examiners. So andun pa din po iyong subjectivity factor. Not sure about the Writing exam kung sino ang nage-evaluate.

When I went for IELTS test in IDP Sydney in July, the email they sent said it would be like a webinar na you will talk to each other through the computer kasi magkaiba kayo ng room. Pagdating ko sa IDP, naging in-person sya, so both you and examiner are in the same room, tapos mga 1-1.5 meter apart lang (there's a table between you). We both wore face masks, so hindi naman big concern na we were in the same room together. Personally, I feel na mas maganda pa rin yung in-person examination kasi you can directly have eye contact with the examiner (as you would when you talk to people), and the flow of conversation is better.

@athelene Maybe ngayon covid medyo understanding naman sila sa situation, especially when you are wearing masks.
