^yup actually sa husband ko lang nakaregister pala ung car hehe medyo flexible ata toyota at that time kase wala pa NSW license husband ko, kukuha pa lang sya test kaya cguro kinuha Learner's license ko hehehe

Anyway best to have an NSW license (at least P license) when purchasing a car. Right now may P license na ako and hubby has a fully unrestricted license.

Share lang din ako, when we bought our car, it's a second hand car, my husband was still a learner's license holder. ok naman, hindi naman hinanapan ng P license ng kakilala.

Medyo confusing talaga ang rules sa car registration parang iba iba ang sinasabi ng car dealers, etc. and yung info sa RTA website hindi complete ang info. Best thing to do is to call RTA or go to the nearest branch.

Nakalagay naman sa pinirmahan ko na I can cancel the deal within 3 days.

Ang tanong ko lang is may effect ba yung pag cancel ko sa like credit history ko?

It will have... Everytime you make an application for credit kasi, it will be reflected in your credit history however as to whether you access that loan or not, hindi ito malalaman.

Kaya it is often advised not to make a lot of credit card application, personal loan application kasi this might have a bearing when you eventually opt to get the biggest purchase you will have in your lifetime - the family house.

sa pag apply ng credit card (another card) usually tinitingnan nila ang credit history mo, kung ontime ka ba mag bayad.
kung sa car credit history e not sure with this one. pero since na may nakalagay naman na pwede I cancel e pwede mo syang icancel. kung ako sa yo, bili ka pa din same car dealer.

I suggest, test drive mo ang sasakyan bago mo bilhin. I rev up mo ng husto na naka stop (up to 4000rpm) para malaman mo kung me unusual noise kang maririnig.. pag nag test drive ka, paandarin mo lahat (aircon, headlights, music) at drive mo sa 80 to 100kph na daan para malaman mo kung may unusual movements sa manibela.
check mo din ung mga ilaw (headlights, signal lights, stop/brake lights, hazard lights, dashboard lights) pag naka hinto.

bottomline is, kung may kakilala kang mekaniko, mag pasama ka pag bumili.
dealer car is good kasi may warranty mga yan, medyo mahal nga lang presyo.

Regarding credit history, the first time we buy a car, would it be better to get it on loan establish your credit history? We care planning on buying it using cash we have (although yung mumurahing second hand muna).
Or ok lang yung mga credit card with account and just make sure you keep paying the full amount every month?

We paid it in cash mate when we got our cheap 14yr old car...

Only trace of credit history we have is a Coles Mastercard and okey naman, it was sufficient for our home loan.

Pinaka importante naman is you have a history of savings and you don't have a red flag in your credit file (I.e. default and/or history of late payments).

Walang effect sa gnayon....
IF you apply agaon or several times sa iba ibang financing.... lalabas yun s credit hisotry mo.
"Pwedeng" maging negative ang impression sa credit history mo.

Every time you apply for loan, credit card, financing or even pre-approval of home loan they initiate a credit check that goes to your credit rating.

I was told that what is recorded is the credit check only and it does not mention the reason.
if you were approve or denied or change of mind.

In my case, there was a time that I look for home loan.

I found one home loan that I thought has a better deal so I applied for pre-approval.
Later on, I notice another bank offer a better deal so I apply again for pre-approval and so on.... until I have several pre-approval.

When I check my credit history, it shows several records appeared in my credit history.

Institution or business may interpret be perceived as negative since they can see a lof of home loan application which they might think that was getting denied.

Same thing with credit cards.... if you have a lot of credit card application.. it will show up in the credit history that whose credit card company was doing a credit check on you and recorded in your credit history. They "might" think that you are getting denied why you keep applying for other credit cards since they do not provide details the reason or the result of the credit check.

Kung wala k pa credit hisory.. hihhingin sayo yung hisotry ng savings account mo kung regular ka ba na nakaka save to prove nakaya mo mag byad.

Hello!

I don't know if it would be of any help to fellow forumers, pero nung binili ko kotse ko last year, it was probably the easiest transaction I made. Pag pasok, tingin sa loob, sign your life away, then paglabas kotse na. Up to you if mag downpayment. But NO dwnpayment should be an option. Mas hassle-free pa kesa sa Pinas. Dala ko lang at that time, employment contract lang. Wala ako credit card nun or any credit history. I'm not PR and Pinas ang license ko. Konting savings siguro in lieu of employment contract (for those not employed yet).

Isa kang masasabi ko, yung car dealers ang maghahabol sayo, not the other way around. If ayaw nung isang dealer dahil wala ka credit history etc., hanap ng iba.

Also, sa dami ng kotse naglalabasan every year and daming dealers, get the one with the best offer. Free servicing, roadside assist, at kung ano-ano pa freebies. Kahit second-hand cars, may warranty and freebies yan. Kasi mahal din tong mga to.

hi @gmad06, one of the reasons maybe because Ford will stop producing Territory by the end of 2016 and will introduce Canadian-built Edge in the market probably by early 2017 as I've read it in one car magazine.

kase i was looking for 7-seater 2nd hand and lagi lumalabas sa online search ko eh mga SUVs na, at mahal pa rin, so might need financing as well.

if you define it like the major dealers like TOYOTA , HOLDEN , MAZDA maybe

kung dealer as in nag bebenta lang ng mga kotse from experience NO

ussually mga brand new lang ang meron nyang ... babayaran mo lang isa then pwede mo na kaagad i drive out yung kotse

if yung bibilihin mo "near new", which may be just a year old, yung ibang car meron pang warranty. BUT di kasama yung insurance, rego, road assist, etc.

BUT, you can negotiate na isama na yung rego. BUT they would definitely not sell you the insurance. depende sa car, mahal kasi ang insurance lalo na kung old car na sya.

yung "near new" eto rin ba yun sinasabi ng mga dealers na demo cars or like yun previous model cars from owners who recently upgraded to new models? and kung near new at sobra baba ng mileage mahal pa rin ba insurance?

@JCsantos, dealers like those selling both used and new cars. Like yun sa carsales.com.au. Niindicate naman nila if from private seller (usually for used cars) or dealer (for near new they're selling)

Then its a NO, ussually nakaregister pa yung bibilihn for N** number of months or days ,pag bumili ka sa ganyang dealers expect you will pay everything well depende na lang siguro kung gaano ka kagaling mag sales talk .. sometime they give away freebies

about credit history, so pag bagong dating ka Au and the moment mag apply ka ng ang ccard or loan application at nadecline (or if you simply cancelled) eh reflected na sa cr history mo yun? may access ba individuals dyan sa Au to view those cr application history? kase di ba sa Ph (and sa Sg?) only those financial institutions are able to see if may bad record ka, thus resulting loan application being declined.

On the part sa seller, I dont think it matters if cash or loan ang bayad mo... at the end of the day matatangap nila ng buo amount na binibenta nila ang sasakyan.

On your part naman, if may datung ka makakatipid ka syempre sa cash payment as wala na interest babayaran.

Housing loan... mabilis if you have a stable job and has a substantial saving for you DP - circa at least 5-10% of purchase price plus stamp duties plus LMI (around 5% of purchase price give or take)... plus dagdag bayad pa for house insurance, council rate plus your utilities.

Inde uso ang discount, you can haggle ( tumawad ) or agent will give you some freebies but not a discount

kunwari asking price nila e 5K tell them you have a cash for 4500 or 4000 ... if they wont give-in then prepare to walk away ...
