    @bronapple, for me i think you only compare salary - one aspect of shall i call 'good life'. Needless to say, there are many aspects to consider:
    1. education - primary & secondary public schools in oz are of 'quality' education. You only have to indulge educ expenses by the time ur kids reaches college. In Phils, you have to allocate educ expenses from ur savings.
    2. healthcare -Oz has the higest level of healthcare system. In Phils., walang pakialam ang gobyerno sayo, to me very minimal lng kasi ang maitulong ng philhealth. At ito ang kakain ng malaki sa savings mu in the long run, healthcare of ur family, kids.
    3. retirement-u gain more if u retire in Phils assuming oz citizen ka. Considering the value of ur money. U can still avail medicare in oz at elderly age. In Phils., SSS can't sustain ur needs esp. oldies are at high risk of health issues as we all know.
    4. future security-your kid's future are secured overall. In Phils., alam na natin yan.
    5. the place, gov't, environment, living safely (crime rates low), etc2. Oz has the edge over Phils.

    In summary, upon thorough comparison research, moving to oz will surely not disappoint you.

    Anyway, bottom line is the only risk you will be taking is coming here na walang trabaho. After makakuha ng decent job, everything will fall into place.

    @dhey_almighty Willing po isacrifice ni hubby kung ano meron sya ngyn in terms of his career para sa mga kids namin.nakakasawa na marinig sa balita mga corruption at bulok na sistema ng gobyerno dito sa pinas.maginhawa nga kami pero pglabas mo nman ng bahay ang makikita mo e traffic, slum, mga basura, sira sirang kalsada.siguro kpag naprogram mo na isip mo na pupunta ka na ng ibang bansa like Oz lahat ng kapangitan ng pilipinas makikita mo e.Thank you po sa insights dina po mgbabago decision namin. Were going to Oz ;;)

    @acrossborder We love the mixed culture in Australia and nasa Oz din mga friends/colleagues ni hubby from his previous company whos willing to help and accomodate us. Ang dami na nila dyan sa Oz isa isa nagsialisan dito sa pinas so that means something right? Kung may narating sila dun ibig sabihin may mararating din kami kung mgsisikap.

E 5yrs lang ang PR so pg ngpunta kami jan wala na uwian ng pinas bahala na si batman hehe at si Lord syempre. Im not sure but I have this instinct that we will survive in Oz mkakakuha ng work si hubby and we will have a better life. Is that really an instinct or faith?

    @bronapple143 salamat din po sa reply. i know little sa Australia kasi. 1st country na naexperience ko kasi yung Canada which I have an idea how to live at the moment. nacurious lang ako how is it compared to Australia na I know good country din to migrate. based sa mga nabasa ko mas nagkaron po ako ng idea how is it to live sa Australia.

    1st choice ko Canada pero starting to consider Australia. Nasa Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing ang job ko at dami opportunity sa Canada and I think ganun din sa Australia.

    With regards to Pinas, I agree po dun sa mga di maganda especially kapag naexperience mo yung buhay sa ibang bansa pero meron parin talaga na masaya sa Pinas despite the problems here.

    Yup dapat naka 4 yrs to be citizen, 5 yrs ang PR validity..
    Pero pwde naman na magsettle kyo dito bago matpos ang 5yr expiry date.. You can stay indefinitely sa AU even after the 5 yr visa .. Mahabang explanation pero pwede un..

    Dont resign, get that promotion..

    Pg may visa na, mag initial entry lang..

    Pwede na maiwan ikaw at mga anak mo dito to decide kung okay ba ang life dito.. Tpos balik na si mister sa pinas..

    Or balik lahat kayo sa pinas..

    Pag okay p rin ang work ni mister, tuloy lang ng work sa pinas.. Pwde namn sya pumunta sa AU within 5 yrs ( bago mag expire ang PR visa), by that time naka ipon na kayo ng marami..

    And nakadecide na ng mabuti kung gusto nyo pa ituloy ang PR at citizenship AU..

    Yup primarily because of proximity with US, south american countries, UK, etc., plus mababait daw talaga mga Canadians in general. Muntik na din talaga ako dun mapadpad, pero mukhang nakatadhana muna talaga ako mag Oz haha

    @vhoythoy oo sir medyo nakaka-awkward nga minsan yung pagiging mabait nila. kahit di mo kilala sa daan basta nagkachance na magkaron ng small talk anywhere babatiin ka nila example sa pagtawid sa pedestrian natagalan lang yung walk signal nakipagkwentuhan na sakin yung nagjojog hehehe.

I'll give it a try kung aabot pa sa cap if not ill check yung Express Entry kung swak sa requirements. kelangan ko parin kasi magwork ulit dito sa pinas para makaipon ng budget in case na mangyayari yung pagmigrate. So far ayun marami nako kilala sa Canada ngayon pero nung first time ko dun wala talaga and solo din.

    recent ko lang nakita yung sa Australia kasi. mas mabilis yung Australia although mas mahal compared sa Canada. Nagkainterest din ako itry pero ayun nga wala pa ko idea kung anu meron sa Australia kasi di pa nakakapunta. One consideration din pala, I want to give way din kasi na magkaron opportunity siblings ko na makapagwork abroad. parang mas mabilis ko matatry yun dito sa Australia dahil sa requirements mas straightforward at may chance na madali maattain nila. sa Canada kasi kahit ako may takot pa sa points hehe. downside lang mukang mas mahirap parents sa Oz,

    San ka sa Canada? Nagwork ka na pla dati dun. Express daw processing nila ngaun pero mabagal pa din. Roommate ko nagpasa second week ng MAy wala pa yata ung AOR na tinatawag. Mas mabilis nga sa Australia

    @vhoythoy sir sa Ontario ako. Toronto. nagkamali kasi ko ng intindi sa requirement dati akala ko kelangan ng job offer sa FSW para makapagapply. August ko na nabalikan kaya medyo na-late.

    Dami na rin for medical ata na pinoy for FSW 2014. Pero after nun di alam gano katagal bago magrequest ng passport for visa.

    sir sa timeline nyo yung IED, so nakapagland na kayo? gano kayo katagal dun?

    yes.. they have to enter together (before the initial entry deadline, normally 1 year after the visa grant date)..
    and of course comeback before the PR expiration date..
    remember as PR visa holder, you can stay indefinitely in AU (even after 5 yr visa expiration date)...

    @acrossborder, sir nabasa ko sa canada immi site regarding eligibility for FSW, need job offer from employer. Tama po ba pagkakaintindi ko sa immi site nila? If walang job offer, you are not eligible.

    @TheDreamer not really sir. as long as you have skilled experience sa eligible occupations. you just need to provide reference letters (parang sa ACS) including your employment details and job duties and responsibilities. ang pinagkaiba sa Australia wala pa sila assessment sa work experience so what you get from your employer na reference letters yun na yung gagamitin nila for assessment.

    @lock_code2004 pano po pala kunwari umalis kayo after nung validity nung pr visa? so from the start ulit na maglodge ka for 189? same bayad parin?

    if you go out of AU (after expiration of PR visa) and hindi ka pa citizen, you will need to apply for RRV- return resident visa... simple application na lang ito.. i think approx $500 and valid for up to 5 years..

    Oct 16-28, 2012 - Initial Entry Completed - Sydney
    July 28, 2013 - Final move to Perth
    Sep 9, 2013 - Started work with the same company i worked for in UAE/USA
    Oct 28, 2013 - Moved to another company.. ;)
