    Hello mga ielts mates (courtesy from filipinacpa:)... The returnee is back, ahhaha. Natutuwa ako sa mga comments niyo and at the same time very inspiring. Nakatatlo na ako ng ielts na yan ah. Tsk3x. Masyadong mataas talaga requirements din para sa profession ko. Hahayyy. Lord sana makapasa na kaming lahat.

    Tip sa speaking: remember ARES.
    A- answer
    (e.g Yes or No, agree or disagree)
    R- reason
    (e.g Because... (Then add more 2 statements of reasons basta reasons to maximize the time)
    E-examples
    (e.g Quote your own experience or somebody you know)
    S-summary
    (e.g, Indeed,... So in other words,... Really, it was..., In general,...)

    Tips for additional points, make use of the following:
    - expressions e.g hmmmm, that sounds interesting, oh i never thought of that question, let me see, wow, that's a challenging question, etc
    - figures of speech ( simile, metaphor, idioms)
    - transitional devices (furthermore, however, in addition, moreover, in contrast with, etc)
    - complex sentences ( which, that, whose, whom, etc)
    - appropriate and emotive and powerful words and verbs (brisk walk, agitated, elated, irate, awful, gaze at, my heart pumps rapidly...)

    I think it's about time for me to consider retaking for the 4th time... Hirap ang minimum score 8 for listening and 7 sa writing! For writing puwde pang aralin but ang listening, kung may sira talaga pandinig natin, naku! Very challenging! Ehhehe

    Ayoko ng magreview! Nakaka pressure! Sa writing cguro is dapat aware sa structure, complexity of words and the convincing power by presenting the ideas in cohesion and preciseness! And following instructions! I didnt start sa front page! I just forgot and it turned out no more space for task 1 to meet the word limit! Nag panic kasi ako! Nadi distract ako sa graph and figures on how to make my description good enough!

    @R_Yell thanks for the tips, mate! hehe I will take note of that. Have you got any plans of re-taking the exam to other country? I was wondering if I would fly back to HK and take it there as this might increase my chances of getting my desired scores. Another option is to take it here in provincial areas.

    Although the exams are standardized, I still can't get over with the idea in the scoring differences of each examiners. Marami rin naman kasi talaga ang magagaling dito sa Manila, so since normal na makaencounter ng ganun ang examiners dito, baka naging mataas na expectations nila sa speaking and writing. Haha.

    Anyway, thoughts?

    @filipinacpa... i think pare- pareho lang yan. Examiners are of course different from each area/country but their mark scheme/rubric for marking test takers work is just the same. I know it because here in school we use Cambridge curriculum and IELTS is a product of CIE which is Cambridge Intl Examinations. Examiners for each type of exam are accredited only to mark and be the examiner after you pass the assessment of being a qualified examiner in which marking exams is one of the duties.

    @bernaabad hi, just keep in mind na andun na lahat ng sagot. Sa "true,false,not given", kaya ako nalilito sa kanya kasi minsan iniisip natin ng sobra sobra. I tried a simple approach na kung di sinabi ng author, not given, kung salungat sa sinabi ng author false. Sometimes we are confuse sa "false" and "not given" kasi we refer to our interpretation of the passage not paying attention dun sa message na gusto iparating ng author.

Mae ata name.. bait nga eh... ewan ko ba... satisfied ako sa speaking ko like always.. un writing ako pinakanatatakot hehe.. 3 examiners sa IDP kanina eh.. un matanda na parang chinese pero australian accent, isa un matanda na makakabo na, indian... and un chinese na hot mama eh hehe

    @sonsi_03 salamat pre. hehe 55 pts na ko.. eh pag state sponsorship need 7 all bands sa profession ko. no choice. hindi ako susuko bro.. nakaya ng iba, kaya ko rn. naging 7 na lahat eh iba iba nga lang exams hehe.
