If you send money to the Philippines via a Remittance company, you NEED to read this!

Hi Guys, there is a petition on Change.Org that we all need to sign. Especially if we all here are using remittance companies such as iremit or forexworld to transfer funds from AU to PH.

The gist is, Australian banks are moving to shutdown remittance accounts. This will force us to remit money via the banks themselves who charge an exorbitant amount to transfer our money from AU to PH.

If this happens, mahihirapan tayo magpadala sa Pilipinas at magssuffer ang families natin and even our own finances here sa AU.

Requesting admin to post this as sticky at least for a week so that everyone can get a chance to sign.

I'm honestly not sure if the petition will work or not, but I don't want to not do anything about it.

I have gotten in touch with the official spokesperson of www.iremit.com.au and he said...

"ANZ account of www.iremit.com.au was shutdown because we refused to use their facility to send money to ANZ makati (5 days processing & expensive processing). Don't worry because we are legit and registered company using AU Bank to send to partner bank in the Phil BDO REMIT. So no worries about the issue"

He added If you guys have any questions about their service or any other inquiry, you can contact them or drop an email anytime and they will be happy to assist you guys.

Thanks Admin. I'm actually a forexworld user and my friend who works for forexworld is the one who gave me the heads up about this issue.

Hopefully this isn't an issue that will trickle down to the overall scheme of money remittance. But good for us to be aware of such happenings as I'm sure we will all be affected by this.

anong nangyayari ngayon , sabi ni wifey meron advisory yung isang remittance company na you can only send a maximum amount of 600$ a day and 2000$ amount, legislation ba ito ng federal government o mga bangko lang ?

@atchino - my friend works in forexworld and she said this is legit. I think if hindi naman legit, hindi ippost ng forexworld sa website nila. Kaya medyo nagwoworry nga ako e.
