@manofsteel ang tanong lng ng company is if PR ka o hindi but di naman tinanong if ano ang visa ang hawak mo. icehcehck ata nila iyon sa Vevo but not sure anong nakikita nila

Hi mga Kabayan, I also sent an e-mail to my sponsoring state to release me from my moral obligation to stay here for 2 years and received this e-mail from them. Mainit init pa. Hehe. Medyo malabo sakin yung ibig sabihin nung message pero ang take ko is pwede naman akong lumipat provided I will keep them updated and answer all the surveys they will send in relation to the sponsorship. Tama ba?

    Dear Xxxx,

Thank you for advising us of your situation.

As you will remember part of your migration application required you to commit to living in XXX for two years. Your agreement to this commitment was a primary reason why you were granted a visa to Australia and you signed a declaration in this regard.

We expect all applicants to honour this commitment.

However, at the same time we understand that you do have to find work in order to make a living.

Note that you are still required to complete the surveys regardless of where you live and failure to do so is a breach of the sponsorship conditions.

It would be useful if you could provide us with further information on what you found difficult about finding employment in xxxxx and how we could potentially help other migrants.

Please quote Reference Number: M-XXXX in all of your communication to us.

    Kind regards,

@liannepot do you mind sharing kung ano state ito?

Ako din ay bound for SA and has a plan to honor the 2-yr obligation.

I have been applying before and after my visa grant. Lagay na nating for the past 4 months or more. So medyo katulad nyo worried din ako na makakita work sa SA although SA talaga ang tingin kong maganda tirhan and I will still continue to try looking for work habang wala pa dun.

Interested lang ako malaman experience ng mga talaga hindi nagpaalam sa state or hindi man lang dumating dun... ang alam ko may mga iilan din na hindi man lang nasilayan yung sponsoring state due to different reasons like nagkaroon ng trabaho, pamilya, etc...

ano na naging status nila? at kinontak ba sila ng sponsoring state? at kung naapektuhan ba application nila for citizenship?

wala pa akong personal kakilala nor actual experience. pero dahil na din sa pagbabasa sa forums both pinoyau and expat..., madami na din cases na after few months sa sponsoring state nila, walang work pa din, formally (written with supporting documents like job application rejection letters/emails) and professionally asked permission sa state na lilipat to other state. although majority sa forums, safer pa din ang advise nila, which is, serve 2 years muna sa state mo bago lipat. as of now, may other state ka na target aside from SA? why?

I am looking for opportunities in Sydney at meron nmn nakapansin saken nag-undergo nako ng ilang phone interviews at feeling ko magiging maganda nmn ang result and I am planning to grab it kung maibigay man saken.

    Thanks in advance.

Bale state sponsored ako sa WA.

@Arch_Onin pero kahit yung bank statement & driver's license mo registered sa WA, BUT nagwork ka sa VIC, wala bang traceability that you're working in VIC? and can you drive in VIC using a license registered in WA?

Question: If you are sponsored by S.A. pero during sa BIG move mo ay sa ibang state ka lalapag for few days dahil may kaibigan ka lang i-meet doon example Feb 14 bago ka punta sa S.A. Feb 21, paano malaman ni S.A. na nasa S.A. ka na Feb 21? Kasi yung domestic flight na lapag mo S.A. ay yun na sana ang day 1 out of 2 years na necessary ka nasa S.A. di ba? So important ang date na yun

@IslanderndCity that's what i thought coz it would be your proof that u live in their region...and besides, you will notify them with ur address once you've moved in or prior to that I guess.

I arrived in my state sponsor and informed them about my arrival. I started to apply for a job and got interviews (phone, in personal but mostly agents) and rejections. I also tried applying jobs not related to my profession. I was looking for a job for a month or so and started to feel disappointment and frustrations. I then started to send applications in other states related to my profession to check the market and I received more responses (phone interviews only). So I decided to ask the state sponsor if I can apply for a job in other states and they told me that I have an obligation to stay in my nominated state for 2 years. I asked if I can just go back to nominated state after working in other state within the 5 year visa period in order to fulfill my obligation but I was informed to call immigration instead. I called immigration and asked them if I can apply for a job in other states. They told me that as far as they are concerned, I am a PR already. Thus I got a courage to entertain job interviews from other states. I still continued applying in my state sponsor and other states at that time. I got interviews also in nominated stated but I got job offers on my fourth month here in Australia but from two different states. I did not inform my state sponsor anymore as I hold the email sent to me to just call immigration which I did. I only contacted them when I needed to travel to Philippines for holiday because I am afraid that I cannot go back here anymore. I updated them about my new address and why I moved. The fear is always there, and only share my situation to close friends as I am afraid that I violated my visa one way or another and might affect my stay here. I always have what ifs questions and fear at the back of my mind until I applied for my citizenship. I am now an Aussie.

Note: I am not sharing this to encourage you not to fulfill your obligation. I did not have peace of mind during those years. There might be changes in the rule or it depends on your state sponsor and circumstances. Please note that I will not disclose the states where I should be and where I am now and the timelines.

@dhey_almighty I am not sure about it. Somehow maybe you need to show your intention to stay in your sponsoring state which I did. We agreed to stay 2 years in our sponsoring state so We need to show that there is an intention. I only moved to other state because I got the job offer from them. If I only had a job offer (any job) in my nominated state I will not move. I even applied jobs in coles, david jones and some shops but did not get any offer. I even paid $200 for resume wrtiting just to increase my chances. But there are more responses from other states than my sponsoring state for the same profession.
