  from what I remember the minimum rate is around 13-15$ an hour ... but if i were you i would take it for the following reasons
  
  1. better than nothing
  2. still looks good on the resume ...
  3. you never know the oppurtunities that may arise on that company

  oo nga eh they said its just a starting rate then they will check my performance, offer pa naman nila talaga sa akin is like almost full time na kasi 10 hours in a day 4 days in a week 2 days cash on hand 2 days ung may tax na kailangan kong ideclare. Bago pa lang ung shop mag open sya next week.

  before i accept the job, I currently have a student visa and i got offer of a part time job in a shop which is 8 Aud per hour. Is this a good rate? I just arrived 2 weeks ago so far 3 calls i got is looking for people who are permanent resident or a citizen.
  
  They are just waiting for my decision it is own By an Arab, they will give me 20 hours a week job.

  Kasi student visa by law 20 hours lng allowed mag work so dapat yung ibang hours alloted for studying/school.
  Ok na yan pero you will be prone to exploitation kasi you are working more than the legal hours of your visa kaya mababa ang offer sa iyo. Cash on hand kasi bawal legally to work more than 20 hours as a student and as an employer alam din nila it is wrong of them to offer work to those na hindi tama ang visa.
  Pero ok na din yan... Money is money. But keep quiet about it kasi if someone tells immigration on you. You and your employer will be in trouble.
  Yung 20 hours lng ang may tax..the rest is under the table kaya no tax of course.

  To be honest, hindi ayos ang 8aud/hr. That's too much kahit ba sabihing namumulubi tayo ng trabaho dito. I've been working for almost 9months now as cleaner earning 24aud/hr. Halos lahat ng kasama ko under student visa. At lahat sila plus or minus 20 hrs a week tlga earning the same. Maswerte lng kami kapag natapat na sat and sun and shifts kasi 33aud/hr ang rate.
  
  Find a job, madami jan, na kayang magbigay sau ng right pay. Hwag masyado maging hopeless. super standard ang australia, sa lahat ng bagay. Kaya hindi need magworry kung makakahanap ka ng tamang income.

  Open contract naman ung job for 3 months kung sakali pwede naman akong umalis anytime

  Apply lang ng apply. Sa seek. Swertihan lang. Wala naman tlgang SOP sa pag-aapply dito. Pray lang ng pray.
  Ung work ko ngaun sa hospital sa seek ko lang nakita. In-house pako. Ung sinabihan kong frend kong indiano na magcheck lagi sa seek baka mag-hire ulit kami aun kasama ko na nagwowork dito. Walang internal referral na nangyari. Swertihan lang tlga.
