Proof of functional English ability

@wizardofOz TOR and Certificate of English as medium of instruction. Sabi, wala daw evidence na na complete yun studies (undergrad eh), so I assumed need may diploma kahit 2-year course. Tapos dun sa checklist na binigay nun CO sken, may nakasulat:

you have completed all years of primary education and at least three (3) years of secondary education at educational institutions in which all instruction was conducted in English.

kaya naisip ko kuha na lang kami parehas sa grade school and high school since malapit lang dito smen yun both schools nya. bigay kami diploma (elem and high school + yun cert of english as medium of instruction).

@fyi_12 nagclarify ba kyo sa CO? Yun din pagkaintindi ko pag atleast may 2 yrs sa colleger eh pwde na.. Or baka gusto pa nila ng certificate from school na natapos nya ung 2 yrs (but not the whole degree)..

Tpos smahan nyo na rin ng certificate of english and diploma sa secondary..

eto yun last point:

you hold an award (being a degree, higher degree, diploma or trade certificate) that required at least two (2) years of full-time study or training and all instruction (including instruction received in other courses for which you were allowed credit) for that award was conducted in English.

kaya naisip ko need talaga diploma..since sya undergrad ng 4-yr course..wala diploma..TOR lang nakuha namin. while reading, nabasa ko ito dun sa points nya:

kaya papakuhanin ko sya this week ng certificates sa grade school and high school, since nasa kanya naman diploma. sama namin sa documents nya, sana lumusot para no need mag IELTS hehehe

sir submit mo lang ung sa high school ung diploma and request ka lang lang ng cert na nag state na english ung medium of instructiondand from what year to what year naka-enrol. kay mrs ko high school dip at cert ng eng proficiency na galing sa paaralan niya nung high school ang pinasa ko. naging ok naman. di na siguro need ung elementary.

@mesiah_fist ideal would be the certificate of English language as a medium of instruction sa School and supported by TOR/Diploma.

Kung alam ko lang yung Certificate sa PUP pwede di na sana ako nag-take ng IELTS, eto intay ng results.

hindi ba ikaw ang primary applicant @chocolatepink? kelangan mo lang ng yata ng lowest score of 5.0

@chocolatepink kung ikaw ang primary applicant need mo talaga mag IELTS dba? if not, then you have the option to use the certificate of english as medium of instruction then back it up with diploma and TOR. required kasi na 2 years or more ata na tertiary education para pwede mo gamitin ang certificate

@raiden14 i think need padin kasi you have to declare ung totoo. at if ever hiningian ka ng form 80 where in you have to declare lahat ng employment history since birth para walang discrepancy ang application information at form 80.

@mimic Eto yung nakalagay sa DIBP website:
An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test result of an average band score of at least 4.5 based on the four test components of speaking, reading, listening and writing. Your test must have been completed within 12 months of visa application lodgement or can be completed during visa application processing.

@Cassey thanks Cassey nabasa ko nga iyan but wasn't sure how accurate.

Kasi nung nagaapply ako ang tanong "Has the applicant undertaken an English language test within the 36 months immediately before the date of the invitation letter?" then
"Does the applicant have at least functional English language ability?"

So inupload ko yung IELTS ni husband nung 2014. Pero nagPTE pa rin siya kahapon kasi based sa statement na pinost mo 12 months lang ang validity ng functional English.

Medyo contradicting yung 36 months and 12 months hehe

Validity of English Tests
Tests conducted up to 3 years prior to lodgement of an application will be accepted by the Department of Immigration.
The only exception to this is for functional English - this requires testing to have been done at most 12 months before lodgement.

Nabasa ko sa site ng isang agency,hehe Ngayon ko lang actually napansin na magkaiba yung sa application at yung sa functional english,hehe

@Cassey yup napansin ko din yan haha. Oo umasa ako na pwede na yung English exam niya nung 2014 pero nanigurado pa din ako. Nag IELTS ka din ba as dependent?

@mimic Nagielts ako kaso paso na rin kasi 2013 pa siya,haha Nagpass na lang ako ng Diploma from Uni, TOR at CEMI.

hi i'm planning to apply my wife as my dependent.. all along akala ko need ng wife ko magtake din ng IETLS.. base sa mga nabackread ko tama po ba na enough na isubmit as proof of functional english ni wife ang diploma at letter from her university na nagsasabi na english ang form ng instruction nila tama po ba?
