    tumpak @atchino :)

hindi pala pwede basta basta agad mag apply kasi baka 6 months lang validity noh?
ay wait, parang nabasa ko 1 year na ang validity ng VISA for 3 months stay (Min) and 3 years validity for 1 year stay.

    - sa affidavit of support or sa letter of inviitation sinabi nila na susuportahan nila yung expenses ng parents nila while in australia at maging taga alagang anak habang both parents are working.

Tingin ko yung 12months parnt tourist visa with 3yrs validity para lang sa PR or citizen

Cguro bka may nakasubok na dito na student visa?

I am planning to bring my mother to Oz for 2 weeks visit, tanong lang po regarding the following:

    1. Medical- By default hindi ba ito required? Required lang ba ito kapag up to 1 year yung visit? My mother is 64 yrs old.

    2. Bank Statement- What if majority ng savings ko na-transfer ko na sa NAB account ko sa OZ? Since currently offshore ako, paano ko makakapag-request ng Bank Statement or can I show yung snapshot ng Internet Banking ko as alternative?

    3. NBI Clearance- Paano kung may NBI clearance pa ang mother ko na wala pang 1 year since date issued, pwede ko bang gamitin yun or need kumuha ng bago upon request of CO?

    Salamat po!
    hi
:D yes kasabay namin si mother this june..
yung 3 years validity nagstart na yun from the visa grant date..
i think yung 3 years validity means that kahit di namin sya kasabay this june, pede sya sumunod later basta yung one year stay is within mag end ang 3 years validity..
    alright, thanks Goreo :)

3 to 6 moths possible ma grant ang tourist visa.
    - you need to provide evidence that your parents can support their stay for that duration.

if more tah 3 months visa - required ang medical exam

Madalas naka indicate sa toursit visa "No further stay" - meaning hindi mo pwedeng xtend yung stay mo in Aus.

Again, ang alam ko lang na na grant ng 3yrs multiple is for PR or Aus citizen for PARENTs only.

Ngayon ko lang narinig to, but if I were you for peace of mind get one .... the least get a Travel Insurance which is cheaper.

Sabihin ko lang by experience kung ma confine sa hospital ang mother in law mo mahina ang 2-3k$ for a 1-2 days stay sa hospital :)

Hindi naman kaya hassle pag sa pinas na insurance? still deciding kung ano kukunin ko for my mama, nagtitingin na ako sa bupa and medibank here which is 200+ per month, while yung bluecross $255 na ang 180 days, so malaki talaga ang difference, pero baka kasi madami process pag sa pinas compared sa mga insurance dito, matanda na din kasi diba need na talaga ang comprehensive na insurance for them.

sorry guys, i'm confused -- travel insurance ba or health insurance ang required?
Health Insurance mate, pero kasi ang Bluecross they offer Travel and Health insurance in one policy
So kung 1 year for parents above 60 years old, magkano lahat yan?
sorry mate you need to call them if you need a figure ;)

    got it. thanks mate.

i find it surprising that the cost coverage for couples under visitor visa to be more expensive as compared to just getting two individual health coverage:
    eg for australian unity
for my folks under couples -- it'll cost me 202.95/month for the basic
for my dad alone -- it'll cost me 99/month for the basic coverage
for my mom alone -- it'll cost me 99/month for the basic coverage.

bluecross is dependent on the age if more than 50 yrs old -- their coverage is only till 190days and their premium for a 1M coverage is ~5K php.
(laking mura ng blue cross, kaso limited lang to 190 days - i'm thinking na after 190 days will just take insurance kina australian unity. (will check with them tomorrow whether this is possible)

Saan mu nakita yang 99 per mo. @Andoy31? Yung sa bupa nakita ko 130 kasi.

The reason why hesitant ako sa bluecross is because they specified in their package na pre-existing illnesses are not covered. Which is yung ang purpose ng health insurance ng mama ko. she has hypertension and also diabetic. so baka magiging useless lang ang bluecross sa case ng mama ko na may history na with these illnesses.
