Insurance Availed in PH, or SG

pilot_markerpilot_marker MelbournePosts: 147Member
Magtatanong lang po, para po sa mga kumuha ng Life or Health insurance, Savings Plans, or "Mutual fund with Life Insurance" na mga 15 years or 25 years to mature, sa Pinas or sa SG. Paano pong diskarte ang ginawa nyo?

Ipinagpatuloy nyo ba ang hulog kahit nasa AUS na kayo, worth it ba ipagpatuloy? I heard in the future kung sakali mag claim kayo kelangan nyo pa lumipad papuntang (for example) Singapore para mag claim ng benefits at minsan kelangn pa daw ng lawyer.

Pano ginawa nyo sa hulog? thru CC?

Thanks

My wife had a Variable Life Insurance before with Sunlife - prior to moving here, she just terminated the contract with Sunlife and sold all her shares. As market was up, kumita naman ng konti...

Not worth the hassle of continuing - you can get much better value if you get life insurance here in Australia via your Superannuation.

Main point is that mahal ang insurance sa Philippines... Super mahal! :)

    @goreo thanks!
yung prudential namin 25 years to pay, Na confirm ko sa agent na kung surrender namin 66% naman makukuha. pero we decided kami to keep it. sayang pa rin 33% at being insured. payment by CC. By the end of maturity of 20 years pa papadlaa na lang daw cheque ng savings. hehe
Yung Zurich naman 25 years to pay din, 80% makukuha pag total surrender, pero sayang talaga yung 20%. Gayahin namin kayo na liitan monthly contribution as possible, till maging stable. hehe.
Sunlife sa Pinas, 10 years to pay lang, kaya mas madali tayagain tapusin. hehe.

Try namin pause or yun nga pinakamaliit na possible contribution.

Up ko lang po ang topic na 'to. Currently I'm on the 2nd year of paying out of 10 years maturity. I still cannot decide whether to continue paying, or cancel the premium. For now I don't foresee any problem, but later on when the possibility of Dual Citizenship comes in, I'm not sure whether it is still advantageous to continue our insurance.

I discussed this with my agent, and best option would be to surrender my plan since we'll be living permanently in Au. Yun nga lang, halos ~35% lang ang mare-refund sa payments ko. But I think it's a good deal since 1.5years palang naman.

@DreamerA Hi yes and no, depended s Insurance na kukunin mo. is it Death Insurance? Dito kasi sa SG, according sa Prudential Agent namin, regardless san bansa ka pwede ka makapagclaim. but of course currency is SGD. and patuloy ka sa mag pay ng premium.

About the No. ung hospitalisation insurance namin dito sa SG e hindi pwede sa AU kasi once you migrate to AU, marerevok ang PR mo sa SG when the time comes. and NRIC (national id) naka tie ung hospital insurance, but in a way no sense rin kasi AU has a good medical benefit na para sa PR.

Hello, just adding to this thread. I currently have insurance with PruLife. Been paying it for 6 years, 10 years maturity. I have paid over Php120k pero the value lang if I withdraw is Php53k. I have decided to continue paying the remaining 4 years, hopefully leave it for another 5-10 years and then withdraw total amount.
