madali lang ba yung practical test sir? may contact pa kyo ng examiner?
may date ka na ba ng practical road test brad? magpapasched na ako kasi sabi nung nasa service SA, dapat daw within 3 months mai-convert ko na yung UAE DL ko to AU DL..

wala pa sir, nag driving instructor muna ako ng 2hr session, hindi naman kasi nagmamadali since temporary visa ako kahit until valid PH licence ko ok lang..pero sicguro next month pa schedule nako ng test.

@goreo bakit po need maconvert agad within 3 months mo? I thought hindi need within 3 months as long as u have ur licence prior to entering Au?

yun ang sabi sa akin ng nasa service sa..pag pr daw kelangan maiconvert to AU DL within 3 months upon taking theory test para makapag drive after 3 months..kasi 3 months lang talaga pwede magdrive ang pr with foreign license..pag pumasa ka ng theory test, nakalagay dun na valid yung theory test mo for a year pero it doesnt mean na pede ka magdrive e for a year with it..

pagkatapos ng theory test, meron pang hazard perception test..then practical road test..which is kelangan mo daw matapos within 3 months para makapagdrive ka beyond 3 months kasi magkaka AU DL ka na..this is for PR visa ha.. yan ay ang sabi sa akin sa service SA..
saka ang foreign DL ko is from UAE which is i think pareho lang ng PH DL kasi parehong di recognised ng Service SA..

Hello. Latest update as of today. Background pala muna.

1. Got my non pro PH license end of May 2015.
2. Been driving here in Adelaide for about 3 weeks now, arrived June 8, tiwala lang sa pagdrayb at panalangin hehe. Since PR ang status ko I can use my non pro PH license for 3 months since my entry.
3. After reviewing the drivers handbook (courtesy of @theumlasfamily) at practice exam sa RAA site, napasa ko yung theory exam ng 1 take just this morning! PTL!
4. With that, binigyan nila ako papel to warrant me to drive for a year until I finished a VORT or CBT, + perception test, then makakamtan ko na yung full DR license ng SA. Kung di ako mag VORT or CBT within a year, start ako uli dun sa madugo nilang process na Learners, Prob then Full. Kaya dapat magawa na yun before next fiscal year.

Notes:

- nakalagay din dun sa papel na after VORT or CBT pwede pa ako masamplingan for a practical test, pwede din hindi.
- South Australia policy lang ito at for PR. medyo iba yata pag temp at student visa.
- Malupit ang pagkain (pavlova!) at maaayos sa pagtulong sa mga new migrant yung nasa new migrant dinner nung nakaraan sa Adelaide City Care ng sturt street. Salamat sa mga organizers dun! :-)

@IslanderCity @goreo @tartakobsky @brixx89 - kakakuha ko lang nung 1 yr paper after passing the theory exam this morning. I do not think nakaspell out dun na kailangan within 3months maconvert mo na ynug foreign license mo to full license. Nakalagay lang dun na meron ka 1 yr to finished the VORT or CBT. parang walang sense na irequire nila na convert agad yung foreign license within 3months kasi yung temp visa alam ko yung foreign license validity nun is 1 year.

Tsaka marami ako kakilala na more than 3months na dito na PR na di pa din nagconvert to full kasi nga medyo may kamahalan din.

@rareking congrats sa theory! sulitin mo 1 year, araw araw drive para sa VORT sigurado pasado agad.

kaya sa mga papunta po dito, kuha na kayo lisensya sa Pilipinas. Dito na kayo mag-aral magmaneho. Malaki matitipid nyo, 50-70 dollars din ang 1 hour lesson.

@rareking @tartakobsky So sa mga PR at wala pang DL and may chance pa na makauwi sa Pinas, the steps are:
1. Get DL sa Pinas either pro or non-pro.
2. Once nasa Au na & hindi pa expire and Pinas DL, pwede ka magdrive until 3 months since your arrival.
3. Take theory exam within that 3-month period.
4. Once passed #3, receive a paper to warrant to drive for 1 year until you pass a VORT or CBT, + perception test.
5. Once passed #4, then u'll have Au full driver's licence. congrats!
6. If failed #4 and beyond 1 year na ang warrant paper to drive, then you will undergo the long and expensive processes of being a Learner then Probee then Full...

So ito na po ang summary now for PR?
